It really is pretty windy, schools shut mostly because of the double decker school buses I would imagine. Was sat in a car earlier and even parked it was rocking a fair bit, I can imagine if you happen to be driving into the wind at even just 40mph and it gusts that's gonna make for a pretty light front end.

Yeah, the schools are only closed because of transport concerns. Even Glasgow Uni decided to cancel exams today (given that 75% of students at the uni come from Glasgow, so a lot travel quite far).

I live in west Lothian, just waked home from work.Yea sure it's windy but it's not that bad, a few bins knock over and the wind was flapping my hood about like mad but nowhere near as bad as to knock me off balance.

I work In a retail park. One of the shops front doors and windows are gone. (2 along from us)

lol its pretty windy car was getting blown all over the place coming back from kirkcaldy actually shifted a bit when passing over the exposed bridges. had a few large trees losing huge branches and bins flying all over the place and its getting stronger supposedly

It's worse of the west coast currently, and slowly moving east now apparently.

I would hate to think what the River Kelvin looks like currently, given how swollen the Clyde is.

Got sent home early from work after battling through the wind here in Glasgow, oh well, time to get Skyrim going. Hopefully I won't lose power!
