I know plenty about water at speed = concrete and stuff....

But for example, what speed does wind have to be at to blow a tree down? Or for you to lean into it and not fall over...

I feel I need some perspective....

Pictures do look pretty epic though. Although hopefully nobody is hurt.

Amazing weather - I live near Troon, (above pic) and have never seen anything like this in my life. I don't even remember the Brighton storms being as bad as this, although I was quite a lot younger Just watching a hail storm in 80mph winds..

We have, some pretty bendy 100ft trees right outside our house, pretty cool watching them sway!

I would hate to think what the River Kelvin looks like currently, given how swollen the Clyde is.

EEk! We just had a partial power cut here. PCs and phone units are still up, but the air conditioning and main lights have all gone out. We do have emergency lights though, so at least were not sitting in the dark.
