'Grid girls' will no longer be used by Formula 1 from the start of the 2018 World Championship season.
Sean Bratches, managing director of commercial operations, said the change would be made "so as to be more in tune with our vision for this great sport. While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms, We don't believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world."
Quite possibly the most incorrect post i have ever read on the interwebsIn my experience, women never seem to have as many expensive hobbies as men!
Depends when the new consoles come out, no?So how far can you see all of this PC stuff going?
'How were you negatively affect by the rise of PC culture?'So how far can you see all of this PC stuff going?

I can't believe how triggered some people are over the removal of the walk on and grid girls.
Eddie Hearn said no chance to that today.
The end of strip clubs.....
I'd not be surprised to find it's a few senior exec men, whose publishing companies own all the womens magazines, that are instigating all this outrage in the first place!!Women fight the perceived patriarchy. Women make themselves unemployed. Foot. Themselves. Shot. The. In.
Don't you think its maybe an issue that pressure from outside of a sport, from people who have no interest in said sport about whether clothed women can sell their services as models accompanying the sports players is maybe part of a wider issue? I am sure it's not a big issue for you but it's the principle at stake here
What ban?More authoritarian nonsense again, this country is a free one as long as you're not hurting others and you obey the law. My problem with it all is it's a slippery slope. Will they seek to ban all modeling over time as it's demeaning to women? It's all becoming rather puritanical and heavy handed.
