I thought that the main parties had agreed that there would be no national campaigning today yet Corbyn seems to be electioneering with this speech.

yeah this was a bit weird - i saw him on the morning news agreeing to not campaign on sunday, i nip to the cinema, come back and he's on tv giving a campaign speech.

did i miss something?

Getting the excuses ready, just in case?

That was sarcasm - the public can see what a danger corbyn is so I expect a high turnout and obviously conservative win.

That corbyn is desperately trying to politicise the weekends attack is both sickening and a clear sign that his beliefs mean he is not fit to govern this country.

Unlike May who spent most of her speech on Sunday scoring political points?

On May 7, 2014 the Home Secretary Theresa May brought forward a bill to deprive those fighting with ISIS of their citizenship. The legislation would allow if

… the Secretary of State is satisfied that the deprivation is conducive to the public good because the person, while having that citizenship status, has conducted him or herself in a manner which is seriously prejudicial to the vital interests of the United Kingdom

… them to be deprived of their citizenship, lose their passport and become stateless. Essentially exiling those fighting for ISIS.

I consider that almost traitorous.

Sounds like people are starting to get the message :)

Very selective quoting by you. The rest of that sentence was that it has been at the cost of local policing.

You do nothing to favour your cause by taking my quotes out of context.

Most on here see through you.

If you want to propagate right wing spin, then a) don't try to do it with miss quoting me b) do try and demonstrate a modicum of intelligence to your approach.

I don't dispute it but the fact is that more bobbies on the beat won't stop attacks like Manchester and Londonx2, increased counter-terrorism capability will, which is what the government did. Cutting the numbers of local policing might impact the crime rate for things like robbery, burglary, assault etc - but that doesn't seem to be happening either.
