POLL: Will you be moving from Haswell to Skylake?

looking at the leaked benches it might be worth getting haswell-e still we shall see when it comes out.

I am staying on IVY-E for a long while yet as it is just crazy power as is.
When clocked up, even better.

Until there is at least a 40% increase I don;t think I will invest.

Haswell to skylake Desktop PC maybe dependant on performance.
Haswell to skylake on NUC maybe if HDMI2.0 (with HDCP2.2.) and HEVC encoding and still support 23.976 perfectly and HD audio (last 3 parts I think are pretty much confirmed from leaks).

Happy with my Devils Canyon.

After spending the money on a TI no way am I buying a new CPU, a new motherboard, new memory. Whats that about another £500-£600 for what benefit ?

No Chance, nothing is troubling my 4770k yet, not even close, plus it's only in second gear at 4.6ghz, will do 5-5.1ghz no problem :D

Ive spent plenty recently on my rigs, no more for a good few years, it will be interesting to see how my main rig (in sig) stands up to Skylake+

I'm due a big upgrade as I'm a few generations behind (Phenom II x6 here).

But I'm going to wait and see what the benchmarks are like but I have a feeling that DX12 and DX12 games will mean I may not need to upgrade for another (maybe) 2 years!

After seeing the results and pricing of Skylake, I won't even be going from Sandybridge to Skylake :P

Just feels like I'd be paying more for less. Even 4 years on.

Haswell-E looks way more appealing.

Tempted to upgrade from my 2500k to the 6600k. But also tempted by an i7...not that i do anything that would actually benefit from an i7! shall have to think on it.
