I dont mean to say larger families are scroungers. It was something that came to my head that i thought people might bring up in an arguement againt polygamy.

Imagine you have three wives and 17 kids and you are jobless for whatever reason - Now imagine the governmet have to fork out to look after you and your family. That is the point i was trying to make.

Polgamy works, imho, in some societies because men and women are not equal.

In the uk, were they to allow polgamy, it would mean women could have multiple husbands too surely. This is actally a really deep topic and I'll be sure to bring it up next time I'm at the pub

The point is being in love, in being in a happy relationship is that there is no one else like that other person.

Ive been with my g/f 10 years on March 5th, and ive never, in that time met anyone like her. She is unique. Ive never even been tempted by another woman.

Now i can look at a woman and think "well she is nice/beautiful etc" but if that woman tried it on it wouldnt go anywhere.

Personally i wouldnt go anyone else other then my GF, I look at girls that are suposed to be really attractive to people and have looked at celebritys(Note the coments i made in the thread about them) andi just dont seem to find whats so great about them.

Since you are such an Alpha male and so Dominant andable to control them i sugest you do this:

Send them all out to work while you sit home doing what you want and then have 4 salerys at your disposal. Also send the kids out to work to have many many salerys to make you live like a king

I believe that Polygamy should be allowed. In the same way that I belive gay relationships are up the individual, I also believe that sexuality and relationships are down to the individual and not something for the state to control(With obvious exceptions such as underage marriage etc). I think that a Polygamous relationship could work as long as there is love and respect from all sides. But then that is also required in any monogamous relationship.

No basically!!

We already have the "mistress" or "bit on the side", why should we change our rules and laws that have worked fine for ages to accomodate foreigners that come here. In my eyes if they don't like the rules and laws of my country there's a simple solution, stop complaining and go somewhere that does allow you to follow your beliefs, the cliche "when in Rome..." comes to mind. :rolleyes:

WTF? Your veins must be boiling! Who says anything about imposing a foreing way of life onto the people of this country? Who is complaining? FFFS man im disappointed you never read the OP.

You see. Just as there is a herd of cows to serve and cater for each bull, men and women were designed for polygamy.

This is why, for example, women who live together menstruate together.

The evolutionary idea behind this is to ensure that no matter how many women you have flustering about you, you only have one bout of PMS to deal with every month.

Well my post does cover the main point of your post "Should it be practised in the Uk? Or should it be made legal?", i gave my opinion and reasons.

The laws have been created on the beliefs of the majority people that live here - that is the reason why it shouldn't be legal. Any differing opinion must come from "outside". Spawn himself mentioned that "the Arabs, who seem to have a monopoly on pologamy" which is everyone's main point of refrence when they think of polygamy and where you'd expect a request for polygamy to become legal would come from, hence my comment "why should we change our rules and laws that have worked fine for ages to accomodate foreigners that come here".
