Porsche Killer

That's old news (2009) and those prices were later shown to be not the norm? Was discussed on this forum I recall.

Anyway, the Evo has long lost it's prettyness :p

What is this "something"?

Both marques are know for making sports cars. Sure nissans' cars have never reach super car status (until now)....

Heritage, quality, dont know, but iv had god knows how many Porsches and i wouldnt entertain that Jap thing.

Its an old argument that will go on for ever.

Whilst i salute what Nissan have acheived with the GTR on a technical and price point level, i would take 'A Porsche" let alone a Turbo over the GTR any day of the week.

Me too, for several reasons, the first i just hate that lego looking Jap thing, second i never go near a race track, along with 99.9% of Porsche buyers and last all that ****** about .this or .that is neither here nor there as that is well within the driver error margin anyone.

The heck did you just say there :D

The problem with Porsches though, like how people who see a 3 series M-Sport and automatically call it an M3 the moment they see an ///M badge, is that those very same people just see a Porsche and not a 911 Turbo or whatever.

That defeats the point of being seen in a "Nissan" when someone with a shiny Boxster (which petrolheads call a poor man's Porsche) gets the same "oooh" as someone in a 911 on the roads.

The GT-R gets a second look every time though, regardless of the person looking at it, joe public or car nut - Doesn't matter!

Lego is cool anyway :p

Mate iv had another bad day on the end of a **** week, let me try again.

I hate the shape of those Nissans and the interior.

I never go near a race track, i either sit in traffic in London, or drive on country roads near me house, either way what that Nissan does on a race track means jack **** to me, nor will it mean anything to 99% of Porsche buyers.

The fact its .2 of a second or whatever faster to 60 means jack because that just the difference between a driving god and mister average anyway, in other words there is no difference in performance in 99 out of 100 circumstances.

Just seen your edit, most Porsche people i know dont really care what other people think, i know im past caring.

I'd have a GTR any day. Better than those 'beetle' things :p

Maybe I just don't follow the crowd of 'badge wearers'? :p

+ at 57/58 Grand, its not bad compared to say a GT3, for about 90k, unless you go for a 2nd hand one. Mind, people aren't as interested in a Datsun as they are in a Porsche tho.

As much as i like the GTR....having been in one and driven one recently...my brother in Canada bought one last yr to replace his M3 convertible that he had...the thing is stupidly fast and hes only gone and uprated the power to something like 600+bhp ie hes had it remapped and put some titanium exhausts on it or something...the thing is a complete and utter monster now but for him, hes said it himself that hes looking at getting the 911 turbo or GT3 RS as his next car...for him as great as the GTR is, its just a shoe in before he gets his porker fix...tbh i agree with him...i love the GTR, its stupidly fast but theres something about a porsche that the GTR just doesnt have and its nothing to do with speed or acceleration...like Diamondmark said earlier, its the heritage and quality of german engineering rather than the PS3 type of electronics that the GTR has.

Saying that i wouldnt say no to a GTR but id probably sell it to fund a porsche:p.
