Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Who spends £110k on a Carrera S ?!?!? Over £27k on options :/

I probably would to be fair but each to there own, It adds a personal touch to the car. IMO.

However, when you are spending the best part of 80/90K on a base car the extra bit isn't going to hurt really.

Base car was £62k, so the options total 43% of the car value.
Also I know the cost is tiny but £200 for a rear wiper !!. I'm surprised wing mirrors aren't optional :p

Porsche develops Cayman GT4 Clubsport
New race car for motorsport newcomers

Suttgart. Using the lightweight Cayman GT4 as the basis, Porsche Motorsport has developed a near-standard racing version. The Cayman GT4 Clubsport celebrates its world premiere at the Los Angeles Motor Show on 18 November. Sales of the 283 kW (385 hp) mid-engine racer for motorsport newcomers also start on this date.

Just like its race-worthy production sibling, the Cayman GT4 Clubsport is powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six engine. The racing version features a Porsche double clutch transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel and a mechanical rear-axle locking differential. The lightweight suspension strut front axle is taken from its big 911 GT3 Cup brother, which is campaigned in Porsche’s 20 one-make championships around the world. The impressive racing brake system is fitted with steel brake discs all round measuring 380-millimetre in diameter. Tipping the scales at just 1,300 kilograms, the Cayman GT4 Clubsport, delivered ex-works with a welded-in safety cage, a racing bucket seat as well as a six-point harness, is truly lightweight.

Orders for the new Cayman GT4 Clubsport can be made at Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, or from Porsche Motorsport North America for the US market. For 2016, homologation is planned for race series such as the Pirelli World Challenge, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA, the Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada and for club races run by the Porsche Club of America as well as for other club-level meetings around the world.

Detailed information as well as photos are available from 18 November on the occasion of the world premiere of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

I thought the base on a 991 S is 83K and I know the 991.2 S is 85K base, I could be wrong though.

My folding wind mirrors where a optional extra, I've got no idea how much though. :p

Changed my front Pads and sensors last night, inside pads absolutely destroyed, but warning only just came on last week. Had a slight issue where the inside dampener pads got stuck in the caliper, so had to reuse these, as couldnt get them out! Anyone else experienced this and have some tips on how to remove?

Yes - same thing happened to me last weekend.

Penetrating spray + screw drive bit on the end of a teeny 1/4" ratchet + strong magnet + a **** load of patience

I almost left the old ones in, but got them out in the end.

Only happened on one of the front ones... the metal cylinder even separated from the shim...

Exactly what happened, will try again to get them out. Bedded in all ok in the end.

The one that got stuck in was enough in that I could have unscrewed one of the cylinders from the new shim and done it that way... but I persisted and went to get some extra tools. Ended up spending £140ish on new tools, only needed the magnet and penetrant spray lol

mad for ordering it or mad for selling it, I am really quite exited about the new 911 I pick up next week which has now over shadowed the excitement of the GT4.:D

Mad for selling it :) For me, no car ticks as many boxes as the GT4 does. Apart from a 991 GT3 RS (keep dreaming), or more realistically a Boxster Spyder, I honestly can't think of a car that I want more.
