Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Is such a different car from my C2S, its just so tight, the grip from the 4WD system is amazing. This is what a normal C2S should feel like.

I was planning to buy a 458 at the end of the winter but I think I will give it a miss and find a high spec GTS

Surprisingly this is what most of the journalist said he drove the 991 C4S, somehow it felt more tight and more RWD inspired than the actual C2S and better steering feel.

Porsche obviously did something with the 991 C4S as I have heard this so much now where people who have driven both and journalist all say the C4S feels the better drivers car and of course has the bonus of all weather grip.

I was have silly ideas yesterday of keeping my 911, was loving driving it so much and owning it, M3 and Mustang.

Stupid idea, so stupid!!

Best to sell it and maybe in a few years re-visit Porsche and look at a 991 C4S/GTS I think. :)

If I was you I would move on the 997.1 and upgrade to a 997.2 If you manage to get £30k for yours its probably only going to cost you £10k to upgrade maybe even less if you don't want a PDK.

I do love mine, it is so unique and no offence the newer 911's went a bit digital, I've got the last of the great analogues. But that is my heart talking.

Brain says as you move it on. See how I get along with Mustang and if I don't gel or in a couple of years I want a change again then 997.2 GTS RWD or a 991 GTS 4WD will be firm favourites for sure.

As much as I like Cayman GT4, it is still not a 911 and on the road a 911 GTS is pretty much perfect. I'd want PDK Sports Plus for sure, must be effect of getting older or maybe just because latest PDK with correct options are so damn good. :)

Pictures :p

I'm resisting the temptation to look at one at my local dealer as I know what will happen.

If you really want to upgrade send me a email with a price for your Cayman, i know a guy looking for one and yours may just fit

I'll think about it, I guess its window shopping at the moment. :D

This window shopping can be dangerous I now have two 991s, a Panamera and a GT4 on the way

When a good deal comes up I can't stop my self.

When is your GT4 due to arrive? What are you doing with your "old" 991?

GT4 is due in around 3 to 4 weeks time, my plan now is to sell my last 991, keep the one I bought this week and give the Panamera back to my ex wife as part of our settlement.

The old 991 is a very nice spec and Im going to put it up at a very fair price so I think it will sell.

I agree with you on the Cayman, its a lovely car but still not a 911. Maybe if the over is high enough on the GT4 and if they are still talking orders on the GTS I may just order my self a new GTS 4 and keep it until the day I die.

Lets see what happens over the next year or so.

They will also have to justify it by saying something about how the gearbox has to be platinum and gold double plated or something because otherwise manual box's couldn't be done.

Yup, Porsche have become infected by the Apple hype before release game, sadly.

So a question I see asked a lot 2 or 4 GTS?

However, the more I read the more I see people recommending the 4 over the 2 which seems odd. In your option whats the differences between the 2 and 4?

997.2 then the RWD version.
991 then the 4WD version.
