Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

The 997.2 C2S I drove didn't have an LSD and I wasn't too keen on the driving dynamics thanks to that... I preferred the C4S... quite probably simply because it has a LSD by default...

Is that in terms of feel / driving dynamics or is there more to it than that?

On the 991 it makes no sense but the 4WD has better steering feel, seems to drive more like a RWD car even though it is 4WD and then has the advantage of being 4WD. On the 911 Porsche did something very good on the 4WD cars, or they got the 2WD wrong, lol. :D

FYI, 997.2 C4S feels like a RWD car to drive... otherwise I wouldn't have liked it very much ;) I dislike standard 4WD systems almost as much as FWD.

But I know what you mean re:steering feel... it's better than your average car still, by far, but the C2S vs C4S is night and day in steering feel.

Thanks lets see. If I get close to my asking price I made huge spec upgrade for nothing at all.

I will advertise mine soon, drove it Wednesday and today, get silly ideas of keeping it along with M3 and Mustang.

Must just throw it on PH and be done with it.

I would jump at the opportunity to buy yours if it wasn't speed yellow.

You had the 3rd radiator added didn't you? From what I've read this seems to be vital in providing the extra cooling to prevent possible bore scoring.

Correct is why it was first thing I did when buying car.

SY is marmite, either love or hate, but is incredibly rare so helps mine with value for re-sale.

what colour are you after? I also like the red and yellow

Anything really other than something loud. I think after I sell my M3 I will look for a C2S or C4S with the aero kit. I have never been much of a fan of silver cars except on 911's and Mercs. I'd quite like a 911 in silver.

The GT silver is the way to go if you want a silver car its a lot nice (in my view) than the other silvers they offer but at £1800 its a little too much when you spec the car.

Is such a different car from my C2S, its just so tight, the grip from the 4WD system is amazing. This is what a normal C2S should feel like.

I was planning to buy a 458 at the end of the winter but I think I will give it a miss and find a high spec GTS

Did you put a request into the dealer for it for a few days? If so I may have to ask a few questions to the local dealer.
