Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Did you put a request into the dealer for it for a few days? If so I may have to ask a few questions to the local dealer.

They normally let me keep the cars for 3 or 4 days but I just wanted to get a feel of the car so I thought 1 night would be enough. I will go back and get a normal GTS 2 at some point when I have time.

I may pop by my local dealer at the weekend and see whats on offer. :o:eek::D

I don't know about your deal but my guys in sheffield are very good with me.

Also when my car is in for a service I always give it on a Friday so I get soothing nice for the weekend :)

Colchester is my local dealer, even though I bought my GTS from Bournemouth. However, I have no dealer preference.

Colchester in terms of service department have been very good thus far but sales wasn't all that but the person I was dealing with has left the dealership and I always seem to get offers for my number plate when I go there at the moment and the new chap seems quiet keen to do a deal.

I noticed Bournemouth do have a nice GTS in at the moment, ironically it’s a 15 plate so I could transfer my plate over. :p

I quite like the espresso leather. And the leather air vents are a nice touch.

A friend of mine is looking to get a 987 Boxster, probably one of the earlier cars, anything to look out for? I'm Googling...

Interesting you have left the PDCC off of that, is it not worth adding then?

I was thinking about it but and I have it on both my cars but the car was starting to get expensive and you have to add rear wheel steering to spec it.

So I finally got some pics of the new car.

Basically its the same as my old car but it has a better spec: I basically got a sun roof, better sound system, keyless entry, more leather, ventilated sears, nicer alloys with 4 new tyres, corning headlights, and rear wiper so around £12k of extra more than my car (£20k vs £32k)

down side is that the car has a year less warranty than my car. I did not see the point of the TV tuner but over the last few days I have used it a few times to watch the news when waiting to pick up friends.

Cost of upgrade, if I get £64 500 for my car (realistic) factor in £1k for an extra years warranty I should be £2k in pocket after my car sells :):)

I've got a GTS booked for next weekend, so this should be interesting and quiet looking forward to it. They have also offered me a Targa GTS with only just over delivery mileage on it.

I'm not sure if this is of interest, but it shows one man's comparison of most of the current line up. IIRC he found the Targa GTS to be way off the pace.

I've seen and I do follow Nick's video's, I'm just not a fan or convertibles or similar style cars. Yes, I can see the appeal of them but its not for me, its the same reason why i picked the Cayman over the Boxster.

I think NO AGENCIES, NO TEST PILOTS & NO SCAMMERS! is pointless as any of those won't get to the end of the advert before they call you. I had so many idiots trying to steal my GT3, some well known dealers treating me like an idiot offering 10K less than I got.
