Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Thanks fixed the spelling, AT is also crazy expensive at £56 for a single advert. I will use PH next time.

I will put up a rear photo also, probably a good idea.

Its raining again but quick photo from the window of the 2.

I wanted to get a photo with the GT4 also but I still have not managed to go up north to pick it up. Hopefully after the holidays now.

My friend who had offered me his has decided he now wants to take it. I get that, I'd be doing the same, but I have since been trying left right and centre to get myself one so if you (or anyone) gets offered one please let me know. Proper beers in it if you can help me get a new one, don't (won't) do a flipper at 20K markup though. :)

Will go anywhere I need to if I can get one.

Because of the premium I just don't know anywhere willing to let one go. There was a low spec one at 90k but I think you are looking at 100k plus for a proper one now.

Maybe [RXP]Andy can do something he turned one down a few days ago.

I've been speaking to a few OPC's as I am being told more are coming but of course OPC's play a very straight bat on these things. I've got several mates getting theirs this and next month and a couple of them have no history of Porsches so it's all monged up :(

There was a post on PH yesterday saying that the order books are closed and OPC's are giving deposits back now I don't know how true that is but its worth trying.

The ship is rapidly sailing on the 996 turbo! Some are on PH for over 70k! Can still get hold of a C4S for reasonable cash by the looks of things. I just wonder if a TVR Tuscan or 350C would be a more exciting weekend car... All a pipe dream at the moment especially after house extension troubles. Time to refresh the suspension on the S2000 and put the idea to bed for now. I'm just astonished at how the market for used Porsches has gone mad.

Yeah its nuts, was looking at them a while ago but did other things.

Although typical ones are up to £45k . Low mileage are 70k.

I don't get it? 996 is pretty old hat now and was never Porsche fans favourite anyway. The really rare sought after stuff like GT3RS 4.0 I can understand spiralling, but this?

It's the cheapest of all 911 turbos and its an amazingly capable supercar (not that I'm biased). Btw in that blue must be pretty rare, I've just got common as much silver :D.

Yeah mines a manual too so adds to its value. I think 70k+ is a bit nuts, hadn't seen that before.

I paid 25k for mine about 2 years ago, so who knows what its worth really.

I'm personally not a fan of the 996 shape, it's the frontend on them as I think it makes it look sad.

However, that said they are still a hugely capable machine and the value seems to be skyrocketing at the moment as well.

Still a epic car though. :)
