Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Sold my 911 via SOR today. Lost a lot compared to normal.

I paid 62.6k spent 2k on a warranty and sold for 64k which gave me net 61k. Terrible, it's first time I lost money on a 911.

Lucky my new car cost me 61.5k but has a much higher spec but I need to spend 2k on a warranty again.

I did around 3000 miles in 11 months or so.

The car I have now I will keep for about 18 months until I can find a Targa 4 GTS that I can afford.

It's not too bad in the grand scheme of things, as if you was another make like a Audi or BMW it would have lost loads more. I'd expect mine to drop more than that over the next year or two but I did just have a buy back offer a near to what a paid for the car but that was when I was looking at the 911 (RWD) GTS

Where did you sell the car in the end?

Mine went via nuvolalondon.com, nice guy to deal with but he does not know much about 911's I think I would have got more via a specialist.

It was due a service so I did not want to risk having to pay for that soon but I think if I waited a bit longer I would have got more.

have you picked that GT4 up yet? :p

Lol no. Maybe next week. I just don't have time to travel up yet and Insurance would have been a pain on 3 cars.

My 991 needs a major service so I will drive up to sheffield and bring back the GT4 on a trailer

Saw a GT4 on the M40 on Monday.

Looked awesome and think it was ran in already. Sounded nice at full throttle :D

Shock - track tyres are slower in the wet than normal road tyres. Who would have thought :p
If nothing else, at least he had a fun day filming.

I was expecting the GT-R to be quicker in those conditions though, as both where running a similar sort of tyre compound.

So I was talking to the dealer today, may be able to get into the next GT2, GT3 or a 911 R when it comes out. I would probably need to buy something form them so I'm now thinking about a GTS.

If I was to drop 95k to 100k on a GTS how bad do you guys think the will depreciate?

Are you flipping the GT4? So many stories of people leaving them in the OPC awaiting new registrations, people collecting them on trailers and OPC's calling people like me saying high Steve, I've got you one, just give me 20K over list and we're all set....to which I say "go **** yourself you bunch of hunts".

PH is full of them and its quiet annoying to be honest. However, there isn't a huge amount you can do.

I noticed GT3 prices (991) are starting to fall so I wonder if that's going to be the same with the GT4 it take a little while.

On a scale of 1-10, how imaginary is your life?
