Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

so how did you get on.

Im thinking of getting one of the cars shipped back to london on friday so I don't have to go up and down. Anything to look out for? I have a couple of quotes at about £200

I've heard nothing from OPC Colchester!

I'll give them to tomorrow afternoon and ill chase them, I don't understand how it can take a dealer nearly 4 days to fix or update me on a simple little problem. I'm slowly getting very annoyed with them!

Even the simple things I've asked them to do for me and confirm, like my warranty in writing with the tyres they haven't.

I'll go and get it for you.

:D, I will keep the offer in mind.

I love your posts. For someone seemingly so well off your naivety makes me laugh.

Pay £1-3per mile which is the going rate for careful car shipping. The lower end on a flatbed the upper end in a covered trailer.

Any less and they'll sell it to immigrants at Calais then bill you for the loss of the car.

I have never used any sort of car transport service but you are right the quotes i have are fully insured from £1.25 to £2 per mile which seems to be ok.

The dealers are like this. I have the same issues with my one. My service tomorrow is supposed to be free but I bet something will come up.

I put my 944 in for a service and fresh shocks all round at the weekend. Also going to try and get a small water leak fixed as well. Think this one may be a bit expensive as the new shocks are about £700. Really looking forward to getting the car back and using it over the spring and summer after the last few months that I've had.

ok so I picked her up today, I have had some nice cars, driven some even better cars but OMFG, this car is amazing. I can see why people are willing to pay 100k for this.

I can't drive it much now as I have a bunch of work to do but will do tomorrow.

Wooooooooooooo wiiiiiiiiiiiii

Can I have it?

If I gave you a hi-five would you let me drive it?

I think I liked it more when these GT cars came with livery plasted all over them!

What options did you go for?

Oh you better be coming to the meet on Saturday now, you teased us at the last meet that you were picking it up...must see in person!!

I like it!! That red's really bright was that the Carmine or Guard Red No PCCB's???

How are you finding the Cayman platform over the 911?

We have some progress at last. :D:D:p

1. I have been speaking directly with my insurance broker today about my insurance renewal and I mentioned the poor communications I've had with Auto Glass, so it turns out I can go directly to my local OPC and have the screen fitted and the will re-imburse me the money. I will ask them to confirm that in writing tomorrow and I can book it in at the OPC who have confirmed they can fit the screen from Monday onward for me. So I will cancel Autoglass once my insurance broker confirms it.

2. My Local OPC have agreed to order another Sports Chrono Clock which should correct my analog clock problem.

3. My local OPC are confirming in writing at least about the tyres, should I change them to non N-Rated tyres and how it effects my warranty.

4. I also asked about a PCM 3.1 maps upgrade as mine seems to be out of date already, which they are quoting me around £290.

I am a bit happier now but it shouldn't have come to me getting a little annoyed on the phone to sort stuff out.
