Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Lol won't be long before we see 500+ bhp boxters and caymans!

Yea we will start seeing a big tuning seen in a couple of years when she used prices fall.

In fairness if a Cayman S tunes like a TTRS it will be bit of a animal.

Actually why did the S not get the engine from the TT??

Shouldve been given the 5 pot!

when do the real world reviews start going out?

i'm reserving judgement on the sound until we get some clips without some feel good music over the top.

some of the clips it sounds pretty good, others not so much, so, yeah, need more to make a judgement.

Sound: 1 / 10

Sorry Porsche!

I am sure the handling is 10/10 and performance incredible for what it is, but you just ruined the whole open top Boxster experience for me, which was listening to that glorious flat 6 being spun upto 7000rpm with a sports exhaust.

I do hope the special editions like Spyder, GT4 will hang on to the larger displacement, more cylinder NA engines. :)

Can't see that happening.

Just look at the current crop of gt3 race cars. Most are now turbocharged. I think the vantage and z4 (soon to be replaced by the m6) are at least two cars that are still naturally aspirated.

Fitted new window Regulator today after my passenger one decided to jam open last Friday night, just in time for the wind and rain we've had this week. Have done this before on the drivers side, which seemed to take forever, but I was done within 90 minutes today! So much easier once you know how.

I still love how easy it is to work on Porsches. Which is helpful as my drivers carpets are soaked and I need to figure out where the bloody hell it's coming in.

You need a new door membrane mate, that is why your drivers carpet is wet, I had the same in mine, changing this fixed it, no idea on cost as was done under warranty by Porsche. Supposedly quite common!

The inside of the membrane is dry as anything and no signs of damp on the door card or under it, so I don't believe it is the membrane.

Take it to an OPC they should know the cause straight away or give you a list of things to check. :)

Got MOT Monday so will ask them to take a quick peak. Not paying their prices though :P

I have got a new door membrane, but don't want to fit it as will need to unplug the airbag. Will do it next weekend.
