Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

I think I liked it more when these GT cars came with livery plasted all over them!

What options did you go for?

Quite a lot of options, Carbon bucket seats, PCM, GTS interior with red stitching, carbon trim, PDLS, sound system plus, dab, bluetooth and lots of other little option totaling 11k.

Oh you better be coming to the meet on Saturday now, you teased us at the last meet that you were picking it up...must see in person!!

Im going to try, but I think my czech friend may stay over Friday night and she will not be impressed if I leave to go to a car meet but I will try and stop over for a bit.

I like it!! That red's really bright was that the Carmine or Guard Red No PCCB's???

How are you finding the Cayman platform over the 911?

Guards Red, I'm shocked how good it looks. Im really pleased i went for it. no PCCB's as the brakes on it are amazing. I think they are from the GT3 so more than good enough.

The bucket sears are killing me, I don't know if its just my doggy back but its really really uncomfortable.

Compared to the 911, its just so much more focused, you really can feel the speed, was doing 85mph and it felt like 110+.

Its a better car to drive in every way, it sounds so much better than my 991, it holds the road better and goes exactly where you point it. Simply amazing.

Very nice.

So what car are you getting next? :p

haha, 991 GTS4 or a Targa 4 GTS. As soon as I find one with the right spec and price.

Having said that I am moving back into my own place soon so I may have to stop spending on cars :D

Ahh that sounds excellent then, I look forward to seeing at the next meet.

I've had some good progress this morning, my insurance have confirmed in writing I can take to my local dealer and have the screen fitted there and they will refund me the money minus the £75 excess. So that's all booked in to be fitted along with a new Sports Chrono clock. So I've got a hire car for a few days while they do all that for me.

That's nice simple and efficient, as I know times and dates etc... Yes, granted I have to pay for it first but it's not hard to update a customer on the progress.

Auto glass have now been cancelled, I still can't believe they haven't order the glass yet. zero communications from them as well. I was promised call backs on multiple times and no ones call back.

An amazing GT4

I am so envious of that GT4 ...

Also what a purchase, worth crazy money already :)

Out of interest how did you get one, did you get in early or did you get lucky with someone cancelling?

He's bought numerous cars from that dealership before I believe, so has a good relationship with them :)

yes as Cleisthenes said, I had a lot of cars from them (order a couple for friends also) I am hoping they will get me into a special 911 when the next one come around.

Time to get some track time booked.

That's a nice GTS, it's a rare option have the roof mounting kit. I'm not a huge fan of the colour mind. Is that blue water car park?

wow love the GTS, my next car I hope.

So bad news I had to leave the GT4 in Sheffield because the company that was transporting it down to london cancelled at the last min. I had to leave either the GT4 or the 911. The GT4 its just not a good everyday car and a women can not get in or out of the car so sadly its still up north and I'm back in London without it but they will bring it down in a few days.

Pic for dealer today.

Also I had a the big 4 year service done today on my 991, total cost £988 inc brake fluid spark plugs luckily the dealer did it free as a goodwill gesture due to some issues we had a few weeks ago.

So now I have 4 new tyres, no service due for 2 years, good discs and pads so other than 2k to renew the warranty in 6 months It should cost me nothing to run for the next 2 years.

I think it's just the buckets which cause that problem. I know the women I was dating at the time sort of fell in the first few times and then she got used to it. She even said how comfy they where. :p:D Its a shame it didn't work out though. :(

I don't really use mine around town too much as I worry about getting it damaged by people opening doors on it etc.. That's what I have my shopping trolley for (RAV4) but that's also used for pulling the jetski about as well.
