Well the fun and games continue!

Just had the call from the dealer, they have ordered the wrong windscreen. I wonder if they manage to fix the clock this time. I'll have to wait till tomorrow for that. So they are going to update me in the morning.

So I'm thinking about making a official complaint to Porsche UK about this dealer (Colchester) as I am annoyed being given the run around.

I've been given a Boxster S as a courtesy car till tomorrow.

I would - hopefully gives a them a kick up the backside to buck their ideas up.

Thats a bit of a pain but these things happen.

I found a nice 911 GTS yesterday, called the dealer and made a fair offer. He said he would ask his manager and call me back. 24 hours later and still no call back. Its like they just dont want to sell new cars.

I understand this happens from time to time but this is the 4th time my car has been to the dealer to have the Sports Chrono Clock looked at after getting a report from there service department it all works fine. When I pointed the difference out on another car, they then changed there tune.

Now to add to that they have ordered the wrong windscreen, I've just been told they may be a chance they can get it in for tomorrow but they don't know. So I was asked if they can collect my car on Monday but I'm not around next week so that's a bit of a pain and I need to return the courtesy as they have booked it out for another customer next week.

I know I didn't buy the car from this dealer as didn't seem interested when I was buying the car but now this from the serving side.

So I am properly annoyed with them at the moment.

I find the service is vert good in Byfleet and Sheffield but I know others can be quite bad.

There is a small chance I will order something new this weekend if the dealer can make the numbers work for me.

I was also talking to the sales guy in there, who has offered me demo 991.2 car. They have taken the position of the management choose who to get the special cars, after what happened to that other dealer. So they are no longer accepting LOI or deposits on the car these special cars.

After all the issues are corrected, I will never ever use OPC Colchester again.

Some advice. I'm going to order a Panamera tomorrow.

Is it worth getting PCCB? It's a lot of money but it's a keeper.

Id say yes on a Cayman or 911 but not sure about a Panamera if I was honest. If its going to do a lot of miles id be inclined to go with the normal steely brakes.

On a side note, this Boxster S is running Goodyear Eagle F1 (N-Rated) and they are night and day better than the P-Zero's. Also even in a Boxster its noticeably less road noise from them.

How have you gone from trying to buy a 911 GTS to ordering a brand new Panamera in under 4 hours

You order more new cars from Porsche than most of us have hot dinners.....

I love cars but I know people who are never satisfied. They are always looking for the next buzz. It's like a shopping addiction, but in this case a very expensive one.

With the new model just around the corner - I would be waiting for that.

It's not going to be out for over a year.

Unless it's a Turbo I wouldn't bother. Also, make sure you order bigger wheels than the last one you had.

You and Andy are probably right it's not worth it.

Edit. Yes this time I am going to pay for the bigger wheels. My ex wife did upgrade the wheels in the end on the panmera we bought last year.

Make sure whatever you order you leave parked in the dealer for 5 months :p

Lol. It was not that long. 3 months max.

Peeezy I did not buy the GTS I really do want one but in the right spec. I will get one at some point but I think at the end of the summer.

Honestly I have been questions my self now and it does need to stop. I have had a lot of free time lately but I will get busy with work soon so my attention will be focused on other things anyway.

I think the best thing to do is get another Panamera and 911 GTS and stop messing around changing the cars every few months.

Wooohooooo I have a working clock! Still waiting on the correct windscreen to arrive, I've been informed they are coming out to me fit the screen rather. So ill have a further update on Monday.

Finally hope it's all resolved soon Andy.

Deal done now for a April build. So should have the car in May. I did not go for PCCB but went for the big alloys and a few other bits.

Very nice, which model did you go for on the Panamera range? I don't think PCCB's are right on the Panamera IMO. However, you can notice the difference between PCCB's and the standard option when I dropped the courtesy car off. I nearly put myself through the windscreen after getting back in mine.

Yea, its a slow painful process less than ideal but they are trying to put it right, it's still annoying none the less.

Even though they have fitted my new wiper blades before putting in the new screen but I didn't get charged for fitting though, which is nice of them. :p:o:eek:.

It was £64.37 for a pair of wiper blades. :p:eek:

On a side note, I've been looking at order the "Painted vehicle key" options for mine. :o:o

Same as what I had before, SE Hybrid with the same spec except I put the big alloys on.

The painted key is nice, but you can buy copies of side blades on eBay for next to nothing. The look just like OEM version.
