Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

looks great in the blue ! What else do you have these days ? are the mclaren and mustang still with you ?

Nothing right now actually apart from the 911 and an S5. I'm being sensible for a while, medical school is very expensive over here and I don't really have time for the toys at the moment. I'll get back into the exotics again in a couple of years, plan on ordering a new Huracan for when I graduate.

you got rid of the Fiat 500 as well ? i loved that little thing !

I would imagine either bucket loads of debt or rich parents ;)

No debt thankfully, hence why I sold the exotics to return to medical school. My parents are wealthy but apart from them giving me a great upbringing, that has zero bearing at all on my own personal wealth.

Iirc he and his dad run a business that has something to do with paint pigments.

That's not it, I wouldn't know the first thing about paint! My Father was the Chairman of one of the best luxury home builders in the UK. I had a couple of businesses in the UK and was a private jet pilot before deciding I wanted to go back to school to become a surgeon.

We still have the 500 Turbo as well, completely forgot about that!

Some updated pics ready for our rally this weekend. Still waiting on my center caps to be delivered unfortunately.

The wheels came out a little lighter than expected as well, not quite sure whether I'm going to have them powder coated again (another $650) or just live with them. They're a lovely satin finish and look fantastic in certain lights, just not quite as dark as I'd have liked.

Dave that looks awesome mate, one of best 991's I've seen bar GT3's. :)

One thing, give it some wheel spacers as the wheels don't look flush with body.

Looks great - like the flip up spoiler on these, when I first saw a 991 with the spoiler up I was puzzled as to what version it was...didn't realise they all had them.

Will you be putting the centre caps back on?

Thanks Gibbo, had quite a lot done last week. Paint correction, clear bra, clear led side markers, powder coated the wheels, tints and a 9500ci laser jammer/radar detector.

Spacers are coming soon along with a techart rear wing to complete the car.

From those pictures they look perfect, any darker and they'd disappear somewhat.

This is exactly why I didn't want to go too dark!

Yes they have to be painted rather than powder coated though so they will be back to me on Friday.

Should come to Reeves Porsche in Tampa Saturday morning 7am if you want to see the launch party for the Corsa America Rally. Will be quite a few exotics there from our club including an SLS Black Series and Gallardo Performante.

At least Porsche have got the new Cayman so sorted.

Can't think of car that is better which is so at home both track and road which feels so good to drive.

They had a lovly near new black one for sale at silver stone Porsche last weekend at their open day. Black with a decent set of options including the ceramics, but I can't justify £60K at the moment.

Managed to fix my brake sensor warning this morning, dodgy cable so replaced with an old one I kept that hadn't been touched.

Then this afternoon my window regulator has failed! Bloody typical, fix one thing and another goes. :( Cheap German engineering!
