Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Thank goodness for that! The spares will useful for winters. What's the second car that you were looking at?

Cayenne but thats for a friend we wanted to order together to get a better deal.

Why the hybrid? Just curious! Seems an odd choice.

As Simon said, basically we have a big tax bill coming and at the moment we have a Panamera D. I can sell the Panamera D for £45k and put the money towards this, I will save my self £25k in income tax so the cost of the upgrade will be very small and I am going to get the spec I want.

Might be getting mixed up with someone else on here but don't you already own like 3 porsches, including a panarmera.

I have sold the 911 and replaced it with a Z4 while I save up for the new 991, I am also going to sale the 335i when the summer comes along and try and get a good 991 or a V10 R8.

Thinking about taking part in one of those Porsch Experience Days over at Silverstone.

Have any of you taken part in this. If so what cars did you drive and how would you rate the overall experience?

I did half a day I think. I would definitely recommend it. Not as balls out as a palmer motorsport day.
I drove a C2S but you can arrange a GT day or turbo day etc. for more cost. Think I arranged 2 sessions and went on all the tracks there.

It was all good but the kick plate and the drifting track stood out as something a tad different and really enjoyable.

Its also an eye opening experience when one of the instructors took me round the tracks! The food was also pretty nice.

Did you put facelift rear lights on it?

Yup freshened the rear end up a treat. :)

It's weather like this, cold, wet and damp that really makes the 911 shine, the traction and ability to cover ground so quick with so much interaction is mind blowing. Absolutely mine still! :)

Nice.

I've seen theyre offering a GT day (GT3 and GT2) for £400. Could be interesting!

Yeah its a different sort of day to palmer but both are really enjoyable. I would go for it. The kick plate, ice hill and drift circuit are a right laugh. The food is really good as well.
