Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

No but it does look promising based on what Ford say they are benchmarking the car against. And it sounds lovely :).

Well the regular Mustang GT does fairly well, pretty much on parr with the top of the rangle Camaro track focused editions on track tyres, yet the Mustang is a match for on regular tyres.

So for sure when sorted version come and the GT350R I can see it being hugely capable but doubt it will rival the GT3 or Vette to be honest in handling and dynamics. :)

** No advertising **

I put the Panamera up for sale today on AT and already had a couple of calls so it looks like it may sell.

I'm really looking forward to the new one arriving in a couple of months.

I picked this up today. I was not planning to buy a car at the moment but I hve spent too long dreaming of a 991 and came across this in the morning. It's now mine lol

The only down side is that the owner actually paid Porsche to remove the 18 way seats and put in 14 way seats. I'm going to see if I can get the adaptive seats back.

It really is amazing the stuff they STILL charge you for - mobile phone prep and parking sensors?!

Extra money to advertise the manufacturer on the seats?!

Don't normally like silver cars but that looks superb!

Nice spec too, as it's got the sports steering wheel and PDK has it got the proper flappy pedals than and PDK Sports Plus so you get the insanely quick and hard shifts?

PSE too nice!
The chassis option, is that sports suspension, pasm or the ptv vectoring?

What did you pay out of interest and once you owned it a while be great to see what you think of it compared to the 997 and if it is number and feels a lot bigger? Is it a C2 or C2S?

When my brother bought his 997 I'm sure he said he paid extra for the coloured versions of the wheel centre caps... :p

£120 for floor mats?

The wheel centres are like a £500 option I think, lol! Porsche world, they get you on a decent base price for the car. Then they present you with many options which you have to have, before you know it a 70k 911 becomes 100k plus.

I mean come on :p

Not got it to hand but my car had insane extras, something like:
Ceramic brakes
Sports chrono
Alcantara roof lining
Sunroof
PCM comms with DVD navigation
Mobile prep
Adjustable electric sports seat
Porsche crest
Aerokit
Extra leather / full leather package
Custom yellow stitching on entire interior
Yellow seat belts
Sport design wheels
Black gloss paint for wheels
Carrera S decals
Bose sound system
Heated seats
Auto dimming mirrors
Bi-xenon headlamps
PASM
Yellow Porsche mats

Basically my car was a Porsche brochure cover car and in short the person who ordered the car simply said I want the car on the front cover of the brochure and so Porsche built it. :D

I added PSE myself along with most X51 extras and GT3 roll bars and suspension components. :)

Much of that stuff makes sense to be an optional extra as many people just wouldn't want it, but charging so much money for little cosmetic details that surely raise the brand profile of the car is a bit harsh IMHO :p

Oooh that's nice.

I don't understand, why would you remove the seats????:p:D

If you think that's bad, you want to see the options list on my GTS I went a little over the top. However, everything in the Porsche world is normally a optional extra.

Normally the PCCB is one of the more expensive options.

Its crazy and thats only page 1 of the option list, the car was a little under 100k new and it does NOT have cruise control or a rear wiper. Generally you need to spend about 30% of the value of the car on options to get it to a reasonable sate.

I dont like silver cars at all, I have had a silver 911 in the past and it did not do anything for me. However this GT silver does look really nice in real life. I will get some better photos tomorrow.

I dont know if its in my head but this PDK box seems to a lot better than the one in my 997.2 I have not had a chance to push the car as I drove through london to get home but I will take it for a proper spin tomorrow.

Its a C2S PDK with sports chrono, it does feel a bit bigger but again that may be in my head.

god knows, to be honest I only went to see the car because I thought it had the 18 way seats, I love them. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do to get them back.

EDIT: Gibbo, the first owner paid £98k for it new in march 2012, the second owner bought it for £80k in June 2013, I just bought it for £63k.

oh and you asked what PDCC is

That's a bargin in comparative terms, as its done most of the major depreciation.

I should think so, I hope not to loose much for how ever long I own it. If I am happy with it I will probably keep it a little longer than I normally keep my cars.
