Portsmouth given Winding up Order

Be interesting to see if the statement of financial affairs gets 'leaked' out, wouldn't surprise me. They must be desperate asking to sell players now, unless someone comes in and pays the debt out of their pocket I think it's all over for Pompey unfortunately!

Portsmouth could have a fifth owner this season after Hong Kong-based investment company Endeavor Plan viewed documents relating to the club's financial position and informed Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie of its interest in buying out current owner Balram Chainrai.

Oh please, this should just stop right now, it really is becoming a joke.

And a rumour of David Gold offering a £10m loan; and the one that Fifa could let them sell players for a 9-point docking...

I can't believe how long this has gone on for. Absolutely shocking.

Indeed, how can Gold be allowed to lend £10 million?

And for them to have a 9 point deduction for selling players, that then confirms that they are then relegated, bar a miracle.

They are then destined for the Championship, and in their current financial situation, could they then even survive with the lack of funds from being in the Premiership?

Get it over with already.

With parachute payments from the EPL I wouldnt be surprised (although it would be more hand to mouth than it already is now for a while)

The problem is with the remaining games they have to play - otherwise making the whole season completely unfair for numerous teams

(if Pompey games dont go ahead - opposition players get a matchday rest when all other clubs are playing, and also the league has to be over 37 games so some clubs lose points they already have on the board and exerted the energy to do so

If clubs yet to play pompey get the three points - its blatantly unfair also hopefully obviously (-:
)

so imo Pompey HAVE to keep on playing at least to the end of the 38th game otherwise this season is just a complete non-sensical wipeout.....which therefore means FA/EPL have to find a way around keeping them afloat until May

Pompey, Pompey. Pompey...no one seems bothered about what's going on at Chester. They are an older club and the stuff that has happened there, Portsmouth can't touch them it's that bad!

Not that you won't know this, but Chester aren't Premier League. The situation at each club in/near administration is different, but I think a lot of people would agree Pompey would be gone if but a league lower.

The Premier League can't have a club going in to administration in the "best league in the world" :(

Pompy are in a real mess, they're sinking in the League, really would taking points from them change anything?

They spent outside their means, managing the money is as important as managing the team.
If Leeds can be allowed to tumble down the leagues while shedding every decent player they had and then going into administration because they did exactly the same thing, Well, Pompey have got NO chance, they are going bust and they will be shut down.

If they manage to make it to next season shouldnt they start off with -10points like Southampton did?
Why take points off them this season as they are pretty much relegated anyway.

The deduction will apply at the start of next season, the rules were changed specifically for this purpose. It started off applying to the current season, b ut teams were waiting till they were sure of relegation then going into administration.

Al Fahim steps down and wants to give his 10% share to the supporters club of portsmouth.

Wasnt this dude the next big thing ie bags o money??.

Indeed he was, remember Sky reporting about him. Saying that a new stadium and a push up the league were in order and that Pompy would get better and better ect ect, Sky just ignoring the fact he actually had no money.

Point deductions are dependent on the date, the FA rules state that if it is prior to the 3rd Thursday in March (which this year is the 25th I think) then the point deduction occurs in this year, if it is after the 3rd thursday in March the point deduction carries over to the following season

Does that mean the supporters are now responsible for 10% of the debts?

I'd just remove all results from them for this season, and tell them that they're relegated.

Give them until next season to try and sort out the club, and if it's still not in a fit state, do the same dropping them in to league one.

Will be a shame if they dont get wound up, least we wouldnt have to listen to that god damn bell ringing **** when arsenal play them.

Im sorry pompey I just hate you so much (because I had an ex who love u so much, kinda turned me against u lol), your supporters think your actually worthy of the prem, well in actual fact you have been winging it for years. Thanks Harry hopefully you will do the same to spurs
