Liverpool essentially. I could get a train there for £13 and £57 back :(
Just checked the times on thetrainline.com and booking in advance you can do the return journey for £25 on two "VALUE ADVANCE 2 SINGLE C" tickets from Virgin Trains.

Depart: Liverpool Lime Street - 07:06
Arrive: London Euston - 10:42

Depart: London Euston - 19:50
Arrive: Liverpool Lime Street - 23:42

You'd need to get a zones 1-6 travelcard when you reached London though (for tubes), these are £6.30.

Looks like we're potentially getting quite an experienced crowd together... Don't let it put any of you new guys off coming - see it as an opportunity to pick a few brains and get some free hints and tips :D

:o That wasn't there earlier. Hmmm. Shame I'd have to miss the evening stuff. I'll have a think.

You could leave about 20:20 but shockingly that gets you back to Liverpool well past 2am!

Yer its stupid. 20 mins difference adds an extra 2hrs or so on.

Couldn't one of us Londoners put you up for the night so you could stay for the evening? Personally I'd feel a bit more comfortable about it if I had met you before, though I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

Email in trust if you really want to stay for the evening though. Might be able to talk the missus round if you need a place to crash.

oohhh now thats an offer! :D

will try and make this as i am so local, especially to canary wharf.

dad's birthday on the 2nd though so dont know what the plans are for that.

/keeps an eye on thread. :)

Excellent :)

Don't forget guys, bring plenty of spare batteries, film / memory cards, tripods too if you want. For those that haven't got one (tripod) I'm bringing mine and so as long as there isn't a huge queue to use it I don't mind sharing :)

Wee..change of plans

The b'day meal has been moved, and my wife is taking the daughter away for the day!

I'm in...if you will have a fairly nooby photographer that is :p

Might come along to learn some stuff and take pix with Fuji A303 P&S :o

Suggestions are alright, but for the meeting place, I think it should be a tube/rail station near to wherever people want to go first to take pix.

Bumped this up to check if people are still going?

If not, I may still go on my own if i'm brave enough! (abit of a London virgin!) :p
