Possible London Meet - 4th March 06

I really really wish I could. Theres a band playing in London that I'd love to photo. Train tickets are now £56 each way, and the 10pm train takes 13hrs to get back to Liverpool! It would have been a great day too. Out with you guys, then off to this gig. Damn :(

13 hours!!?! is that including the switch time ?

We went to Liverpool last year for my mates stag weekend. It worked out cheaper (and quicker) for us to travel from Peterborough to London first and then to Liverpool! I'm sure we only paid about £80 return though.

I'm still planning to go.

Don't know what the plan is yet but what does everyone think about Liverpool Street station as a place to meet? Should be easy enough for most people unless they're coming from south west london and it's a good start for going round the city.

Is anyone else going to be heaving a tripod around? Don't want to be the only one looking like a sherpa. :)

If I come I will be with a tripod. :)

I normally meet around Leicester Square when in Central London as thats about as central as one can get. LS seems OK, or Victoria/Waterloo Station might be another good place. I'll think I'll come along, not sure how long I'm staying though as its so darn cold outside.

Liverpool St is only a couple of stops from Euston so thats good for me.

What time? Do we need to be wearing a pink carnation or will the photo gear give us away?

Will I need all zones travel card?

I will also be bringing a beast of a tripod.

How about 10:30 - 11? Should give us plenty of time to get round everywhere we want to go.

I think you will probably get away with a zones 1-3 travel card to be honest - we don't want to spend too much time travelling!

I'll post up my photo over the next few days so you'll recognise me :D If any of you want to send me an email I'll forward on my mobile number in case you get held up.

Can I come? I live walking distance from Canary Wharf and a 20 minute train journey to the City. I don't have specialist equipment but I have a digital camera :)

E-mail in trust :)

I've posted this up at the start of the thread but I'll repeat here for those of you already subscribed to it:

Ok, this is me (yes I know the horizon is a little bit wonky but I didn't take it ;))

I'll be meeting you all underneath the departure boards at Liverpool Street station.

I thought the final itinery could be something like:
City, Monument (as suggested by someone in another thread), South bank, trafalgar square + houses of parliament etc.

I'm going to be in London until late so you're welcome to join me for a few beers and a pizza (or something) later if you wish.

eXSBass: You're more than welcome to come - this meet is open to anyone, doesn't matter what kit you have you just need to enjoy photography.

Cheers! I actually like photography but love architecture. Especially neogothic architecture which London is cramped with! So I can take pics of that and other architecture that pleases me, plus random London shots too :)
I'll post back with pictures of me :p so you don't get confused :)
