It is the shades that do it for me :D

Anyways guys, I am not fussed and all good, so back on to this Fuji Fury X :D

Lol :D, with Fiji despite wishing for more info and I still think a paper launch might have been a good idea in the face of the 980 Ti launch.

That aside, quite looking forward to the AMD E3 PC event. First of it's kind and new GPU's to be announced there. In the longer scheme of things its all good.

Can AMD dethrone Nvidia though? Is 4GB HBM enough? Not long to find out !

Wonder what the mystery port is? Just a design thing, ventilation or something else?

The 290X 8GB never sold well the 1st time round did it not?

Think sales on the 290X 8GB picked up after the 970 fiasco, peeps moved to the 290X for that tasty amount vram guaranteed.

All Radeon sales have dropped off tbh, everyone knows the new stuff is just around corner. Eventually finally possibly going to be released soon..

Imho, a 390X Grenada (Updated GCN) with 8GB of GDDR5 priced similar to a GTX 980 4GB might be a tempting alternative.

If AMD can match 980 Ti / Titan X with Fiji, I think AMD have a fair chance of gaining some market share back. With good alternatives a the various price points. Provided they actually launch these things to market.

AMD Fiji 4GB HBM VS GTX Titan X 12GB.
AMD Fiji Cutdown 4GB HBM VS GTX 980 Ti 6GB.
AMD 390X (Grenada) 8GB VS GTX 980 4GB.
AMD 390 (Grenada) 8GB VS GTX 970 3.5GB+0.5GB.
AMD 380 (Tonga) 2GB / 4GB VS GTX 960 2GB / 4GB.
AMD R7 370 4GB 2GB / 4GB VS GTX 750 Ti 2GB

AMD have a good product stack here imho.

Only reason to price the cards higher than 2XX series if they truly did something..."enhanced cores"... 390/390X needs to be at least on par with the 970/980 for those prices.

Yeah I'm expecting these cards to be good. No rebrands, a refresh from very high end to low end. More Vram than competition on the mid - high section, and a whole new architecture on the flagships.

Also I got an email from AMD today regarding upcoming cards, which is great because they are advertising / communicating with their customers.

Feeling pretty positive for AMD on this launch now, especially when you think they have co setup with PC Gamer the first ever PC 'E3' event. They are doing good things should get more credit than they do perhaps.

8GB would be the sweet spot, but we still don't know how 4GB HBM would actually perform. Those same guys that said the 3.5GB + 0.5GB GTX 970 is fine, don't say the same thing about AMD's 4GB HBM. Funny that :D

Keeping an open mind on these new cards until we see performance / legit benchmarks and reviews.

That chip looks awesome, looks like all of it will be cooled by the custom AIO. Liking the design, now just waiting for results..
