For the record I wasn't just talking about you Andy.......

but to answer your question

It's probably because I've done nothing that actually breaks the rules.

Maybe because

After many RTM's concerning various threads in the GC subforum the moderators have decided on a zero tolerance approach.

Any more off topic rubbish, trolling, thread derailment will be meet with a suspension with no more warnings given.

If suspension doesn't work and it continues then access to this sub forum will be removed for the members causing problems.

If you think you are being singled out, picked on or anything else that could be considered "trolling" then just RTM it. Do not bite back, stay on the topic of the thread you are posting in.

It's probably because I've done nothing that actually breaks the rules.

IE - I'm not insulting people or being nasty, I'm just putting forward my thoughts and feelings, as much as the fanboys may hate it.

As for user error? TBH? installing a driver shouldn't be such a faff. AMD should have coded the driver to do what needs to be done in one swoop rather than telling the end user to run tools to remove drivers.

It's something you don't get on Nvidia. I don't want to be an expert in installing drivers I expect them to work. That's what I paid for when I bought a card, and, to me is clearly why AMD cards are cheaper.

I don't care about what people have said back to me. I don't care about the thinly veiled insults, nor that I've been accused of talking 'dribble' (it's actually drivel).

AMD have a rep here. He has done absolutely nothing to appease me so the chance has been lost. Instead of actually opening his ears up and taking my points on board he's decided to just sit here and argue the toss with me over who is right and wrong.

I'll give you a hint here - customer is always right whether you like it or not.

So, it's pretty obvious I won't be a customer.

So that's about it. You can carry on now.

I'm pretty sure Andy says he won't be an AMD customer after every AMD card he buys then as soon as they release a new one he goes and buys it. 6970 lightning he broke-7970 that wouldn't overclock cos it had a low VID, 290 with black screen problems. He's one unlucky guy. I've had a x800xt, 1800xt, 4980, 5850, 7970 and now 290 and I've never had any issues that weren't either my fault or a case of lazy devs. 4980 crossfire wasn't great and 7970 mantle was didn't work properly on bf4 when I had 7970 crossfire but that was it...

Most if not all problems Andy gets are PEBKAC.
He likes to think he's better than everyone, so these problems couldn't possibly be his fault!

Seems to think moaning about things on a forum will somehow get AMD/whoever to listen. You should see some of his posts moaning about all the companies that have done wrong to him, it's laughable.

I know, been told not to tell anyone.
You're all gonna be very surprised and slightly disappointed.

this is just dieing for a quick joke or two

surprised that it's released so quickly and disappointed that it's no better than the GTX980 :D

surprised that it's small, compact and cool looking, but disappointed because it's still noisy, runs too hot and is way too expensive :D

or is it finally, very Surprised that it's not as good as you thought it would be and slightly disappointed that you're going to have to switch to Nvidia ;);)...........ha ha laughing my ******** off

PEBKAC? I'm getting old it used to be PICNIC!

Just to make sure you know i am qualified to comment owned many cards from all 3 major manufacturers (3rd is 3DFX) :D

Happy new year!

It looks like we are in a cycle of AMD missing large chunks of a year with Nvidia having no competition. It's the new leaner AMD, take 8-10 months to finally match Nvidia who then jump ahead 2-4 months later.

No competition? Amd still have the best bang for your money right now in the low, Mid and high of Graphics cards..
290 is still going strong and will continue to do so. Anyone who picks a 970 over a 290 is mostly looking at exclusive features nothing more.
