29 years!!!??? Are you nuts???

Bloody good trick as nVidia were founded in 1993...:p

Ah yeah you're right MSI was founded in 1986, started making Nvidia in 1999.

MSI started in 1986 ~ 2015 = 29 years, but they started making Nvidia cards in 1999 ~ 2015 so = 16 years.

So if we take that figure, 16 years to reach 100 million, and apply to these numbers. I.e 6 million GTX 970's in 9 months, use the maths to round it up. So 9 / 6 = 1.5 = 7.5 Million per year. X by 16 = 120 Million.

if we added all the other Nvidia GPU's MSI make what would the number be over 200/300 million? Those numbers are dodgy confirmed lol :p

That's not so far off in truth

I'm still tempted to think that figure is right though, I know loads with them! AMD are getting a right battering in regards to marketshare, I hate to say it but they'll be teetering on the edge if they don't get a boost soon....:(

Mate,Nvidia said they sold 1 million GTX980 and GTX970 in 4 months and they were bloody happy about it. That's from the horses mouth. Seriously look at his last few posts.

If they sold another 7 million in 4 months they would be shouting from the rooftops.

Yeah no I updated my post. If you incorporated the other cards MSI made, the numbers would be what 200/300 million. Those numbers that guy posted are seriously dodgy !

I'm not taking the total users into account I just googled steam survey for % steam users for May 15 and that's what popped up.

Nvidia said they sold just over a million GTX970 and GTX980 at the end of January. Even if we said that was 1.5 million(I doubt it probably just over a million to 1.25 million),are people really believing they sold ANOTHER 6 to 7 million more in the last 4 months??

If that was the case,Nvidia would have ZERO problem ramming it down AMD's throat via a PR statement.

I wouldn't be surprised if people have more than one account on steam or upgrade motherboard etc and do the survey again. It would account for some of the inflated stats.

Where did you find this? Looks like you just made these numbers up? I looked at the first one the 970 % and your way off it's 2.54%.

Hmmm well maybe you looked at old stat before Jan 2015?

Here the latest May 2015 stats:

Debating on how many Nvidia cards have sold and not sold in an AMD's new line up thread :o

Thread must be becoming stale :D

I logged in yesterday and the entire last page was all talk about Nvidia cards.

It's quite sad that some people around here lack the respect to stay the eff out of threads that don't concern them and stop spreading their rubbish.

Ironically you don't see AMD users spamming up the Intel threads. Though in this section anything goes it seems

I've been thinking today whilst working on my lady's rig. I really don't care now if the Fury is slower than the Nvidia cards. I just want them to be affordable and fast.
