So the new cards only have 1 DisplayPort connector and the adaptors don't seem to change that (unless the extra ports are in addition to the listed ones).

So how do you do Eyefinity on 3 screens that require DisplayPort (e.g. Freesync screens or 4K screens)?

I thought AMD were getting rid of DVI? All they have to do is have only DisplayPort and HDMI and include the HDMI to DVI adaptors like they have here. Also, props to the healthy, yet possibly unnecessary excessive amount of additional adaptors they include with the card.

Only sad thing is that they don't include any cables. Some darn monitors don't come with HDMI/DisplayPort cables and come with the cables for the other connections instead. I've got so many useless VGA and DVI cables lying around. Yet only a spare DP cable and that's just a mini-DP cable. I hope one of these cards come with a mini-DP connection, or I'd have to buy one.

I'd already have one, but when I ordered it last year I got some PCIe riser instead due to an error in product number at the supplier. I was too lazy to sort it out and get the right cable like I ordered. No way am I using HDMI, I've got enough of those fighting for the HDMI port on my monitor and the HDMI splitter I ordered just about has enough connections for the other devices.

Killing DVI is the way forward!

The Kepler pre-release thread was actually quite fun. This thread OTH,seems more like an E-PEEN scoring match at times.

Plus, another thing is that the time period between the HD7970 and the R9 290X was around 22 months.

If Fuji is released this month,it would be around 20 months.

The Titan and Titan X were seperated by over two years.

I am not sure why people think Fuji is delayed TBH!

I usually agree with pretty much everything you say Cat, and this is no different. It's hilarious how many worried Nvidia owners have been posting here showing off.

They really should learn not to care and just go with it. There would be a lot more products around if it wasn't for the amount of people Nvidia can get to rave on about their products.

I don't understand it. I really, truly, just don't get it. How can some one be so brainwashed by a company that make graphics cards?!?!

They getting rid of DVI? good job my old 2900XT came with a dvi to hdmi adaptors for both monitor and for the back of the graphics card, will still be able to use my monitor without a hdmi port :p

Don't see the point in getting rid of dvi, iv got a hdmi cable in my 7950 to the TV and its always falling out.

Tho the technical stuff, monitors all have build in absolutely rubbish speakers don't they? tho iv never used them, so hdmi would send a signal to them? so im guessing that would be more clutter to mess up or conflict rather than good old dvi.

Good old DVI that only does 2560*1440 @ 60Hz?
I'm not saying HDMI is much better, DisplayPort on the other hand...

you know, as noob as this might sound, im bit old fashioned, iv not actually looked up the specs of hdmi and display port etc, iv always been "plug it in, if it works, great, if not, research what I need to make it work"

and 1080 is highest iv ever been so I guess for now dvi has got my back still :p

but I guess yeah if I went 4k or so hdmi could cause some problems depending on what version of it etc, so would just skip that all together and go display port. but by the time I go 4k, there will be something newer anyway most probably, will be on display port v3 or something and will support 64k or something :p

in need of a new gpu soon as my AMD 6950 2gb is not cutting it anymore.

i dont mind waiting for another few months but what is my best option. I game at 1080p at the moment and will likely be higher by early next year... especially with VR coming.

So whats my best option.... the 980ti looks great but it really does have too high a price, and the 290x doesnt seem good enough for higher than 1080p right?

How are the 390x's looking. Are they rebrands? likely to be any better with good value for money?

i heard these were limited to 4gb but releases of boxes state otherwise

what is my best option? Don't really want to go above £400 as the wife would kill me haha

Whatever and release will be good for the industry on a whole, bit of competition. But outside of synthetic benchmarks, in a game, (which gpu's are designed for) there will be so little, 4-5 fps. Seen it when bf4 was the big new game, arguments about 780/780ti and 290/290x. Such a small difference between each. We were all able to enjoy good fpd with good details on all cards, yes its an old game which favours and cards, and a game I love despite its issues. But as an nvidia owner I had few issues with it. Few niggles with sli but soon sorted.

I've got a 980ti on preorder, but I'm looking forward to seeing what AMD 's newest cards bring to the table. Roll on the official specs, should be interesting.:)

AMD Fury X Will NOT Be Limited To 30K Units For 2015 – Air Cooled Versions Are In Fact Coming

Just like everyone else we’ve just heard rumors of AMD’s Fury X being limited to 30,000 units for 2015 and only coming with Liquid Cooling. And simply put those rumors are nothing more than that, rumors. In fact it took us less than 40 minutes to confirm with some of our most reliable sources which are very close to AMD that this was nothing more than baseless speculation.

Some more Fury X porn. I'm guessing this are all review samples. And supposedly reviewers got the drivers.

I agree, I want something shiny and new to play with. Not long to go!

I'm tempted to hold out for the newer version of the 295x2 purely because I fancy VR, however the itch to buy a new monitor is increasing and given the review of the Asus IPS Freesync panel I'm now leaning towards the AMD cards again.

If the Fury X is decent I may end up with that. Backup plan though is 980ti and Gsync

Dunno if this has been posted yet:

Note, it's a regular GT now not a hight RPM one, promising.
