Are the 3xx branded cards just rebrands of 2xx? any differences?

Fury and fury x are new HBM 4GB Cards, with the X being the liquid cooled version of the standard fury?

And the nano, is that HMB Fiji too?

No clue if the 3s are rebrands, they are on sale, and seem to be, but no confirmation from AMD yet.

Fury X is the liquid cooled, the Fury is air cooled, and will probably be lower specced (like 290 is to 290X), we just don't know yet, and yes, Nano is also a HBM'd Fiji, and it goes :-

AMD are releasing a card that MIGHT match a 980Ti...for the same money, with a higher TDP.
A standard 980Ti is not the same as the Fury X though is it... unless ALL 980Ti's now come with AIO's, or in fact it's just the one priced at £650 that has this feature. So no, you're wrong. Performance we don't know yet.

...only 4GB of memory.
It's quite disturbing how many people are thinking this way. You clearly don't understand technology. Maybe you should make the switch to consoles... far simpler for you. ;)

I notice the usual suspects are already focusing on the perceived weaknesses of the new cards. The power consumption being potentially greater than nVidia's is the current aspect under seige. Even though the new AMD cards are now going to be much closer and who gives a stuff if they use 30W more under full load.

Even if they used 0.00000001W more under full load it would still be the most important thing ever because, you know, it would make all your other components fail.

Being forced to have an AIO watercooler is not an advantage in my eyes. I would rather have the choice, as I would rather not have one :p

If people are excited about getting a free AIO chucked in to the mix then fair enough though.

Well then there is the Fury (non X version)... which is air cooled. And cheaper, which also beats the 980Ti on price. Obviously performance figures and benchmarks remain to be seen.

No...I'm bored of green goblins making up stuff about fury x...no one knows how fast it is...

No one....

There is one killer statistic about the Fiji cards, the price

$649.00

It does not matter if it is a tiny bit slower or faster than the NV cards, for what you are getting it is a real bargain.:)

Which means they will replace the Titan X within 10 months?? I doubt it. AMD has been working with Hynix for a few years on HBM - there were prototype GPUs with the HBM on an interposer package a few years ago.

yeah and nvidia only just started on pascal.

both have been working on it for years man wake up do you really think nvidia are that dumb? They didn't get to this position without understanding their market.

I'm happy this card exists Does it make me want to sell my 295 x2? NO

I think everything has gone according to plan it will do very well I think 4gb hbm will hurt initial sales due to having to spend so much time explaining hbm to people. (if in doubt look in this thread for people arguing over it)

I don't think it changes anything though. I think nvidia were allowed 9 months and a massive screw up to go unpunished.

People bought titan X's today people even bought 295 x2's today nothing will change.

Eitherway I'm glad you're happy.

EDIT

oh and the nano is a great idea but many people don't like small. Will have to watch that one closely

AMD have investors, and they can't afford to be making claims like "most powerful gpu in the world" without it being true for some if not majority of tests.

They didn't make such claim though, they said "the fastest card", obviously in reference to the x2 model coming later in the autumn.

But it is pointless getting excited until we know how it performs surely? Presumably the Fury will be slower than the Fury X

I don't care if it's faster or slower than titanx.. All I care is the performance over what I already own and it's price.

Yeah sure great if it's faster than nvidia, great for banter but deep down I couldn't care..

Something tells me though, that nvidia knew this was coming. I thought it was very strange releasing the 980Ti with titanx performance for much less, pretty much killing off there top line up, in such a short space of time..

Nvidia knew this cash and grab. Smart move, but poor on the guys buying.
