There is one killer statistic about the Fiji cards, the price

$649.00

It does not matter if it is a tiny bit slower or faster than the NV cards, for what you are getting it is a real bargain.:)

too true!

Absolute steal considering the 295 x2 was $1000+ on launch :D

yeah and nvidia only just started on pascal.

both have been working on it for years man wake up do you really think nvidia are that dumb? They didn't get to this position without understanding their market.

I'm happy this card exists Does it make me want to sell my 295 x2? NO

I think everything has gone according to plan it will do very well I think 4gb hbm will hurt initial sales due to having to spend so much time explaining hbm to people. (if in doubt look in this thread for people arguing over it)

I don't think it changes anything though. I think nvidia were allowed 9 months and a massive screw up to go unpunished.

People bought titan X's today people even bought 295 x2's today nothing will change.

Eitherway I'm glad you're happy.

Have you even bothered to follow VRAM development?? Nvidia was putting all bets on HMC,which did not pan out. Thats why they are using HBM2.

I seriously don't understand your attitude, its almost like you are desperate to negate something AMD might have an advantage over Nvidia. I don't see you so negative about Nvidia advantages over AMD for example.

Edit!!

Its almost the same thing when the HD4870 had GDDR5,and how GDDR3 was "good enough".

Agree with this... however, hopefully benchmarks will allay a lot of fears. I'm of the view that the vast majority of people who even care about RAM on a GPU will also be savvy enough to look at reviews and benchmarks... and if they demonstrate HBM to be as amazing as AMD claim, the sceptics can't really argue.

Is this just me

I go home in the middle of the event, come home to read after a couple of years in the making and releasing nothing, this is what they release ?

There's nothing here. It's matching Nvidia by all accounts, they have the same issues cooling their cards and have to slap water in there as ref cooling.

I so hope the genuine reviews and benchmarks beat the titan x or i'll be ****ing myself.

I don't care if it's faster or slower than titanx.. All I care is the performance over what I already own and it's price.

Yeah sure great if it's faster than nvidia, great for banter but deep down I couldn't care..

Something tells me though, that nvidia knew this was coming. I thought it was very strange releasing the 980Ti with titanx performance for much less, pretty much killing off there top line up, in such a short space of time..

Nvidia knew this cash and grab. Smart move, but poor on the guys buying.

not really they're getting top notch gaming performance at a good price with full driver support working g-sync and a bright future ahead. They knew the AMD card was coming out and bought anyway don't feel sorry for them.

so its an 120mm AIO cooler, so will bolt right into a 120mm fan mount position in my case correct?

I have a Corsair 780t sop just trying to work out where I'll put the FurryX. Top of case is taken by my Corsair H105, I have 120m in the floor and 3 positions in the front but all taken by fans currently. Just trying to visualise in my head.

The difference in power use is pennies for year so hardly something to flap about let alone even mention. Simply put if the 980ti is 50 bucks more than the Fury and the Fury uses 50 watts more it would still take an absurd amount of time to even then out, assuming performance is the same.

anyone buying high end and tells you they do buy one to save power is lying.
slam dunk HBM fury card IMO
long time ago I was this excited and got my amiga 64

Yeh, agree with this.

I was so close to buying a 980ti on launch day - so glad I waited :) Now I can get a FuryX with AIO water cooler for the same price :)
