Woot woot 11 days until the next one and 23 days until Cadders. Try not to cause an earthquake when Tubby comes down after the mountain ;)

best looking 125 around, looking forward to piccys... if I was 17 again i'd bite someones hand off for one

Well I'm 21 atm, so I could have went straight on to DAS, but still just wanted a 125 to build some confidence on the road first, and get some NCB before I try insure anything bigger. Plus if I'd done that I wouldn't be on the road until next year anyway as I wouldn't have the money to do it, lol.

No pics still. Picked it up this afternoon, just after five, took me a little while to get used to it, compared to the CG's I learned on yesterday, but after that was smooth sailing, it rides great, shame that it was and still is raining, but at least it wasn't lashing it down, was nervous about the rain at first, but calmed down after a couple of mins. Tis all locked up and covered now, gonna see what it's like in the morning and see wether I'm going to take it to work tomorrow, or stick with the car, lol. Fair weather motorcyclist, lol.

I ALWAYS move over into the gutter (obviously not too far in) and flash my indicator on the right a few times to let bikers past. 9/10 they wave to say thanks, and I much prefer a biker infront of me than behind me, either sitting in my blindspot (not always their fault as a car isnt static to follow) or might unpredictably overtake at some point.

I really want a bike but cos of my tallness I might need a supermoto and I want a 600CC racebike, something like a R6/GSXR600.

Also can I ask a question ? Why would suzuki release a bike (GSXR 750) with no fuel gauge ? How do you know how much fuel you have left ?

The GSXRs have a low fuel light instead, pretty standard- I think it flashes with 3 litres left, goes solid with 1 litre. Perfect really.

How tall is tall? Big tall dudes look a bit silly on most modern japanese sports bikes since they're so tiny... But they do still work fine.

Bikes rarely have fuel gauges. Instead you know how many miles you get to a tank, and obviously you have a low fuel/reserve light too. I get about 110 miles before reserve, or 90 if i am thrashing it, and about 30 miles on reserve. So you do 100 miles and make sure you find a station somewhere in the next 25-30 to be on the safe side. Simple :D

Since getting a powercommander and custom map my fuel range has increased massively :D
With commuting and the odd blast back roads home I am getting 160 miles to a tank, had 170 last week! thats awesome for a sportsbike lol before I was barely getting 110 before the light came on, and even with hooning it I am still getting 120 before the fuel light comes on.

I've yet to ride a bike with an accurate fuel gauge and I doubt I ever will.

They are in the most cases, not to be trusted. I prefer to get to know how far I can travel before the warning light comes on and more importantly, how far I have got from the point the warning light comes on till the point the bike splutters to a halt. ;)

I get around 120 miles from a tank on my Mille, riding at moderate to fast pace. There's a further 20 ish miles after the light comes on so as soon as I see it light up, I'm looking for a petrol station pretty sharpish. :D

Here's some pics finally. Got a holder to get that disc off the front, because I don't like it there and I'm understanding that I need an L on the front aswell as the back so gonna stick one in there.

How much did it cost you to get a custom map for the Power Commander? I've got a map, but just using a generic one I downloaded from Dynojet for my end can....still not perfect but a lot better than before I had the power commander.

I had a custom map made at Cresent suzuki in verwood for £160. At lot of money, but the map took almost a hour of dyno runs to make and the difference it made was amazing.

Just make sure you do all your small mods like filter / decat etc before you get map made... saves wasting money and use a dynojet approved tuning center.

Be preparred for a lot of tyre wear also.. dyno shreds rear tyres, not that bad, but deffo melted quite a lot of rubber :)

Looks great

First thing I ever do on bike is take off tax disc / holder. Just keep it in wallet and if ever pulled just explain chavs keep nicking it, police will be fine.

Try and get a tail tidy also, apart from that look mean as :)

Didn't think you need L plate on front, I wouldnt bother with one there anyway. Could be wrong though

Was looking to get a tail tidy for it when I get the money.

Thought you might need one, just did a search yesterday, and some people on a few other forums have stories of being pulled, fined and 3 points for a missing L plate each.

Also it says to use Michelin/Pilot Sporty or Pirelli/Sport Demon tyres, so when I need to change them which is likely to be the better choice?

Yep, gotta have an L on the front. £30 and points if you're pulled by a bike hating police man (which are more common than you think).

That does look like a really nice bike for a 125, doesn't look out of proportion or too small.
