I wouldn't bother personally, my Fazer had kmph clocks and I rode that for over a year with no worries. You just suss out what the speed limits are in K's and when you're between them you just sort of guess! I did look into it, or getting/printing a new background for the clock with mph, but I never got round to it and it never bothered me in particular. If you're gonna do it leave it til last.

parts are on order should be delivered today. there is another problem with the speedo as well it sticks between 120-160 kmh, and also the screen is coroded and marked to the point i cant make out the mileage lol.

the thing is as pointed out above, the parts for this bike are like hens teeth, so if they come up on ebay or wherever i buy them first and worry about putting it together later

so when the full dash and mount came up on the bay for £50 I bought it straight away same as the rear subframe for £15.

DavieCramb01 heres a bloke on the bay called leeblounty09 who im buying the above parts from he basically has broken a full 1987 FH for parts, might be worth contacting him as he just may not have thought those fairing parts were worth baying but he might have them

I have a spare Ignition Barrel, If you ever need it, Never been used and spare keys. Im not sure what other bikes it may fit but will sell it at 2/3 of the retail prices.

Not sure what happened to it, Has been in the shed for 4 years and never moved, Round the screw hole it has cracked so the screw isnt holding it on anymore, It isnt major just an eye sore and im pedantic

Good work I'm not sure, my dad picked it up from a newsgroup member really cheap and I didn't have chance to ask what the deal is with it. I think the guy originally bought this one for spares and so wasn't fussed about stuff like that. He did manage to fire it up, I've always loved the sound of singles.

He's hoping to take it out to the house in france, I can't wait to have a go on it, looks like great fun!

What are the main Differences between the FG and FH

i dont think there are many tbh mate. i know things were changed quuite significantly for the FJ onwards models but not sure whether there was much if any difference between the FG and FH. Ill find out for you though

Hello mate, the FH rear shock is longer than the FG, (I think the linkage is different as well, not 100% sure.) On the FH,the engine is identical apart from the electronic pick up for the tacho. Which in turn means a different wiring harness, tacho etc.
Other than that all is the same.

Cheers. So im guesing by having a longer rear shock means the ride height is a bit higher?

Mite consider a longer one for mines its a bit low for me

Nearly went with a Bandit 4 months back but went a different route in the end.
How long you owned the bike and what are your thoughts ? i had a gsx 1100 few years back but never ridden a Bandit.
