Post your christmas bonus

A bottle of champagne (which turned out to be a £3 bottle of sparkling wine) and a box of mince pies, between three of us, happy days indeed.

Better than nothing- for everyday I didn't work I lost money... but you are foced not to work over christmas. So the xmas week is either taken out of vacation time or has to be worked back with overtie, or a reduction in pay. I lost a fair chunk of money over christmas

Although, i guess technically I got a bonus.. but it is what they call the 13th month pay. They take 1/12th out of every monthly pay check and then pay that back to you in November, without the interest that money would have earned, thus netting them the interest! Sneaky!

Not bragging or anything but i got quite a lot this year, about 1600 before tax. The best part about it was the letter I got from the MD listing different reasons why she felt I deserved it. That made it feel special if you know what I mean. I'd like to say it was worth more than the money but you'd all know I would be lying :D

£0 :(

However after talking to my boss yesterday about some software, he's just dropped this in to me this afternoon:

Windows Vista Enterprise
Office 2007
Windows Server 2003 R2

RESULT :D

That plus being told as they're handing it out that all our jobs are gone, so we're being made redundant. :(

Yes, the bonus was nice, but considerably smaller than what they got last year, and it was rather diminished by the loss of the job.

every year at waitrose you get a percentage of your total earning of that year for each indivisual "partner"

last year was 15 percent i think.. dont know what it will be this year.

Yeah JLP bonus system rocks. My wife has worked for JLP for 20 years now and the word on the street is that it will be better last year for you all.

We stopped giving Xmas bonuses long time ago. The staff get them now in April pay check and they're performance related according to how the Firm has done, how their office has done and how they have done.
