This doesn't seem lynch worthy to me...

Yes he could have stayed in lane 2 for longer before moving out for the slow overtake.

However...

He was in the outside lane pre-emptively to pass a car in lane 2, with nobody behind him.

A car appears behind him and he abandons the slow overtake of the car in lane 2 to allow the car to pass.

Then they pull a dangerous and idiotic manoeuvre.

If he were in the lane and not gaining on a car in lane 2 with the intention of passing it, then I would agree with everyone else.

So sure, the lane discipline could be better, but he wasn't inconveniencing anyone, and the instant he was, he moved.

Attempting to defend the Focus drivers driving is lolworthy tbh.

There was nothing behind. He came up behind and immediately moved into lane 1 for the overtake while I was moving over to let him past.

He is a **** and I've seen him do **** quite a few times now so **** him I'm not going to move for him.

You need to get rid of your dashcam its just gonna end up incriminating yourself.

Once again - I'm talking about the second video. The one where you overtook one car, and then felt you needed to stay in lane 2 because you'd be overtaking another car in a mile or so.

Sorry but lane hogging is immensely frustrating, and so easily avoided by just driving considerately. When you see people who react to a 4 lane motorway by just staying in lane 3 instead of their usual lane 2, it's flabbergasting.

But there was absolutely no implication that the Focus wasn't driving like a tool.

Nobody had an opportunity to get frustrated in the video.

The second someone wanted to go faster, Lee moved.

Ideal driving? No. Inconsiderate? No.

And there has been that implication previously. People saying they "aren't surprised" they acted like that etc. :p

If I had one it would primarily get used to film hoons and then get uploaded to Youtube.
So what I actually need is a GoPro. :p

It's just poor lane dscipline. Overtake a car, then move back into lane 1. It's not rocket science.

I'm not even sure what video people are talking about now. Lee redacted his from fear of the pitchfork.

He stayed there because if he moved to lane 1 he would have had to move back to lane 3 again a few seconds later to perform the slow overtake.

So he stayed where he was because there were no other cars behind him.

You can't hog something which nobody else is using.

Maybe people are misremembering what the video actually showed. Or maybe I am. Or maybe we both are?

Honestly Lee just post it again, it can't be worse than this can it? :p

It isn't an excuse to drive in any lane you want when there is no traffic because fact is most people using that excuse will do it if there is traffic or not. It's an easy 'defence' to suggest the motorway was empty, I was bothering no one, what does it matter etc. It's a habit typically as I have friends who are awful drivers, just the worst, who use that excuse often.

I've not seen the video here but as a general point.

A minute later. The one I'm talking about, he could have moved to lane 1 and then moved back out a minute later. That is a hell of a long time to needlessly hog a lane. And it absolutely is inconsiderate.

So he stayed where he was because there were no other cars behind him.

There was though, there was the car that undertook him because he was lane hogging and the car 'came out of nowhere'.
I do understand the concept of 'out of nowhere', it's just happened, I'm in lane 1 on the A50 and I'm an obsessive mirror user but a driver just 'came out of nowhere' on my right side just before I was going to overtake - yes 100% my fault.
