Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

It is rather reflective.. But usually I dim the whole room down before watching a film on it. When it is in standard / game mode it isn't an issue, but during the THX cinema mode its un watchable with a light source.

@ Kyle great idea to hide the OHP screen behind that wooden shelve.... The old man's a carpenter so i'l be getting him to make me one!

Also where do you live? (not address etc, just the country?)

hi Thegoon, thank for comment
by the way, i´m from chile (south america):D

*I hope that you take some pictures when it is finished.

LG 47LE8900

I waited 6 years to buy a decent TV. I am glad I waited.. the THX cinema mode is delicious. Now I will have to spend tomorrow cleaning up the gaff and arranging all those wires :|

I actually thought that he had a camera in the room and he was showing it on t he screen.

Well its a sure fine way to make the gf annoyed with you. Tell her that instead of spending the day with her you're going on about an 600mile round trip to Brighton to pick up some new speakers

Looking forward to seeing how they sound as i foolishly bought them blind.

Nothing too special, but i don't have much room to play with. A work in progress at the moment.

Marantz SR4200 Receiver
Marantz CD-56 (owned since the very early '80s)
Cambridge Audio DVD57
Aiwa FX6500 VCR
N64 (connected via the VCR to the receiver)
DIY sub, single 10" ported. (now resides in the car)
Mitsubishi 26" CRT (very old, waiting to be replaced)
Luxman L-220 amplifier (used as my headphone amp, as its miles better than the marantz)
Goodmans cabinets with Kef drivers (2 way 8" ported, another DIY project)
The rest of the speakers are fitted into the ceiling. (multi element currently, looking to upgrade them by making them proper 2 way with a crossover)
AKG K601 headphones - my usual listening method.

Bought them off a fella down in Brighton (Damn long round trip!) They're called Waterfall Victoria Evo's. Very impressive speakers as i expected them to be a bit gimmicky with them being made of glass.

They do some glorious looking horns called the Niagra i think but they were out of my budget by quite some way
