Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Possibly, just err on the side of caution as some brands label max with totally opposite meanings. Max on my yamaha results in huge explosions and standard volume dialogue, on others it can mean max amount of compression.

Ive tried mine at normal and max settings, and like you say it reduces the loud sounds, in the manual it says it compresses the sound......

quite nice purchases as i manage to get lots off on each piece of kit. id describe the sound as majestic and refined perhaps not metallic or lots of slam just very clean deep bass and layered with lots of detail.

That's great. Pics?

After a new centre speaker [using a KEF Egg atm] as my Tannoy one is FUBAR.

Rest of system is:

Mission 752 fronts and rears
Mordaunt Short MSW20
Onkyo 506

Something that will sit nicely with these?

Had a few new additions over the last week or so...

These showed up yesterday

Ignore the state of the room, we're mid decoration in other parts of the house and the living room will be the last done due to chasing all the cables into the walls. The DB1i have been moved to rear surround duties. :)

**** me over 2 grand, and I thought the RX6's were bad enough at £800:D

Yeah, they're a little more than that by the time you add in the mods as well. The surround/centre DB1's aren't cheap either, kinda makes me wince when I add it all up. Still, it makes for a great home system and helps me with my own work as an audio engineer too. Good job we're detached. :)

Yep for their size there brill, however for an extra £50 i wish id of gone for the boston soundware xs's (they were an extra £100+ a few months ago, on offer atm)

It is amazing, just that at the moment, going to be hooking up to a HTPC on payday, HOWEVER it isnt seeing USB sticks/hard drives atm...not that it really bothers me as i say the HTPC but still a tad annoying

Spoke to LG techs and was very very close to sending my TV back....then had a thought....i wonder if they read NTFS? NO they dont, and the techs hadnt mentioned this, tried a FAT32....hey presto!

I would have been very annoyed to say the least if i had sent it back!
