Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

I'm not bothered by cables. It's temporary setup but on the left there is nothing I can do to hide cables. Keyboard, mouse, monitor cables would be there anyway

My mate's setup.

Samsung 4K UE55HU8500
Couple of PMC 23s (I think)
PMC Center speaker
PS4
Wii U
Macbook Air
Yamaha AV Receiver

Its a great setup, he also has a full 7.1 system setup with a sub.. its incredible!

I wish I could have this!

I am runnng 2.0 personally. I use my PC as a tv.

Audio wise I run a Yamaha AS-700 amplifier which IMO is absolutely awesome.

Speaker wise I run Acoustic Energy Neo3 V2's which are also good, but I will upgrade them at some point.

One of the speakers does not output any bass frequencies, I thought this was down to my current amp but upgraded and it still does it, out of warranty now :/

Yup. IT is definetly the speaker, but it came like that from factory it appears so I am guessing it is probably the crossover - the woofer still moves and seems to output sound, just not the low frequency band.

Some large changes since i was last here. Went a bit overboard on collecting bits and pieces.

Kef chorale (DIY)
Tannoy Super Red Monitor 10B
JBL Control 1
Spendor SP2/3

The tannoy's have become my speaker of choice now after a long time listening to the others. There is something very pleasing about the projection of a high quality dual concentric speaker that multi element speakers can't match.

The luxman has ended up getting usurped by an inter-m R300 power amp. I will keep my eyes peeled for something better, though i admit that I can't hear anything significant between the two. (even though the luxman was heavily upgraded and the poweramp is presently laden with cheap capxon capacitors) I've also added a Tascam cd recorder, sony md recorder and soundcraft spirit ES mixer. (helps with recording and microphones)

Long time lurker, first time poster... Some fantastic set-ups in this topic!

LG 42" TV
2 X Yamaha HS8's
1 X Yamaha RXV775 (Networked and does all the HDMI Switching)
1 X Apple TV
1 X Apple Time Capsule
1 X Toshiba Blu Ray Player (Hidden)
1 X Google Chromecast

All the networking and Ariel cable was run under the floor before we put new carpets in.

Content is managed through the Apple TV and iTunes.

Would be nice to add a bit more surround sound and maybe a subwoofer but with an 8" driver in the HS8s they push some serious low end.
