Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Thought i would get mine up here after much tidying of the room (rear spare bedroom, futon lets me watch dvd's or use it as bedroom when required).....

Sony KV28WS2 TV (Needs to be replaced desperately!)
Yamaha RXV630RDS 6.1 Receiver
Pioneer DV-656A DVD Player
Playstation 2
4 x Mission M70 speakers (FL, FR, RR, RL)
M7C2 Front Centre Speaker
M7C1 Rear Cente Speaker
Mission MS8 Sub
Mission Stancette speaker stands

Front speakers connected by QED Silver Anniversary, rears connected by QED Qontour (mainly so can hide under carpet, was originally connected by same as fronts). QED optical digital cables between DVD player and PS2, QED Sqart lead connecting DVD player to RGB socket on TV.

Really need to upgrade the TV, but the replacement telly budget keeps getting hit by other projects. Have also got the use of a Dell 3400MP projector from work on the weekends, not got round to cobbling a ceiling mount together for it.

Off to watch a DVD, catch you later

You really need to put something on that wall above the telly. :p

Yeah, but the director of finance (the G/F) has advised me there is a hold on all spending in the fun/enjoyment department for me.

:(

Silver 2.1 speakers from my sky box, positioned nicely, debating on weather to add my pc's 2.1 to the tv also and have all speakers running through my pc and my tv...

already have my pc linked to my tv so i can watch downloads through my tv :)

Hey :D

the speakers are Monitor Audio RS1's (around £350) and the amp is by Marantz PM4001 i think! (its sitting in the bottom right alcove you cant really see it as its covered by dvd storage box :), the amp was around £170). Got the equipment around a year ago, one of the cones has a little damage due to someones wondering fingers! but you cant see it unless you are like really close up and the other speaker has a small dent on the side which is also only noticbles close up. They are really good speakers would never go back from seperates to pc speakers the sound quality is so much better (trust me ive been using pc speakers for the last few days being back for xmas!)

AWFUL picture, the TV looks awful there... just got it today - just sitting on an old coffee table for a few days.. however, ordering a TV stand, rearranging to other side of living room... sky coming to install, buying a set of floor standers and getting the last few bits for my HTPC, <watch this space> should look pretty snazz soon  ... just not currently lol

*really sorry about picture, i only got a phone camera :( *

Christmas and birthday come at once (literally). It's my first hifi setup so i'm pretty chuffed with it :D . Hooked up to an ancient pair of mission 700's that we just spent the whole day refoaming :( .
Got my PC+xfi and 360 hooked up to it so far, but the sound from DAB has impressed me the most.

Edit; got bored and made some stands from my flatpack shelving- zero acoustic properties but it beats the floor.

I was quite impressed with it. Just turned it on and it scanned all my local stations automatically. Setting up presents was very simple (keeps separate lists for FM/DAB). Reception for both is very good; I just stuck the wire aerial up beside the window.

It comes with another remote that does the amp+tuner, so depending on the 540c that could be your 2nd or 3rd .

Other than that I don't really know what to say; it sounds good to me and stacks nicely with the other Cambridge gear. If you have any more specific questions i'll try to answer them.

I love how the Azur stuff looks. Very very smart bits of kit.

Nice little speakers, the 700s. I had a pair for a few years. They always impressed me when I went back to them after listening to other speakers.
