Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Premier AV HF0042 Cost me £48 do a google search, Highly recommended, didnt put on the cable tidy thing at the back cos it was getting in the way of my connector on the back of the amp.

Changed blinds from brown to wooden white (which give a nice white airy glow to the room and emphasise black AV gear) and changed corner unit so now it has black legs :)

Very nice tidy set up you have there photoshop, suicide springs to ming about cleaning all that pretty black surfaces:eek:.

Haha, tell me about it man. I dust it and use a microfibre cloth on the bezel surfaces and within a few hours there's a layer of dust on it. Now that i have white wooden blinds its not so noticeable as the room is flooded with light but i still have to dust it down once a day

I'm the same:D lol, gets on ya **** doesnt it!

Recent pic of my system, taken as I have dusted it recently!

I'm really happy with it, so much so I have lost the upgrade bug and short of adding a Hi-Line or a Hi-Cap I might just leave it as it is.

For sure :D

But I think im going to wait until i've used Audyssey to calibrate everything first..... or maybe I should do the sub first......

REW looks pretty scary, so I think i'll just enjoy the initial 'wow' factor for a bit, then hopefully it'll seem even better when i get round to calibrating it with REW :D

As for placement, my initial thoughts are either where the plant is, or a little further back, next to the sofa.

It's weird, some articles say literally tell you to get on all fours and see where the bass sounds best.... whereas the SVS manual says

SVS Manual said:
Location. They say it’s ALL about location right? It’s the same with
subwoofers. So, where to put it? Go for a corner if you can, and avoid
putting your sub where it might adjoin large open areas. Studies have
shown that the deepest and flattest bass response is typically attained
when a subwoofer is placed within a few feet of one of your room’s
corners (leave about 3” in the back for cable clearance with any wall or
other surface). A corner near your favorite seat is often the best location
of all. Whether you put the sub in front or to the rear of your seating
area makes surprisingly little difference. Deep home theater bass, like
that from “5.1 channel” DVDs is non-directional. You can’t tell where
it is coming from, even though you can hear, and feel it.

Going to put the black cloth at the back of the unit once I have got my Blu-Ray player as I can tidy up all of the wiring.
