Post your laptops!

i suck at Linux i had it for 2 weeks before i put xp on the only thing i managed to do under Linux was get advanced desktop and change the wallpaper

with xp its just so much more than an it could ever be with linux

why do you think asus gave you instructions to install xp? Apart from the Linux noob aspect
xp, windows in general is much more the norm where computing is concerned

i like windows .end

Xandros was very good i found, but i ended up installing XP, easier to use for files etc for college.

So not:
"They're 800x600 each, so stacked they'd exceed your res, yes :p" as you originally said. ;). (gotta love instant topic notifications, reveals so much more info. :p).

Yeah, I wasn't viewing them at the original size...something wrong with correcting myself? :p

I agree there.
I have a Z60M. And although i want a new laptop, i wont accept less than a Thinkpad. Unfortunatelly, we dont get much bang for our buck.

Is that a US model? As the keyboard is US style?

I spy, with my little eye....some volume licencing CDs. ;). :p.

Cool.
I personally cant stand US style enter keys/keyboards.

Yeah that's how i felt when i first got it, and i ordered a UK replacement keyboard, however it never arrived and i've been too busy to do it since. I'm pretty used to it now, although its quite irritating when i have to go back on my desktop and keep pressing " instead of @!

See that bit wouldnt bother me, as i use an Apple keyboard most of the time on my PC, but lack of a proper enter key really annoys me. :p.

agreed! i cannot understand why they have a half height enter key, it is just so illogical! can anyone enlighten us on this matter or is it just how it is over there?
