I'll try and get some photos done over the weekend :).

I've had three in my time.

Toshiba Satellite Pro 17", mainly used it for WoW.

Dell Latitude 12.1", loved this laptop for Uni.

Latest one in my sig. It is very nice, still contemplating which OS to have on it.

Ohh modded

What have you done to it? Coat of paint, custom skin?

To mod it on the day of arrival, heh. :D

I have actually modded it on the day of arrival, as I just know that if I dont do it now, then the likelihood is that I wont be doing it later on, so best to get the memory installations out of the way, which I have now done.

The next step will be Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, so by the end of tonight I should have it all installed & patched upto date, and then its the long slog to get the stuff installed that I mainly have on my desktop, so bang goes the weekend!

Vostro 1500
T8300 2.4 GHz Penryn C2D
8600M GT 256mb DDR2
15.4" 1440*900 screen with TrueLife
3GB DDR2 667 MHz

Great little laptop and gives a very decent gaming experience for only £551 delivered. Excuse the awful photo. One of these days I'll buy a decent camera.

I gotta admit, the v15/700 and i1720's are are an absolute steal for the hardware you get. All black look is great as well. If only they could do the 1525 with a discreet card. :(

£719 delivered!

How did you get it for that price?!?!?

Well it was really easy to be honest, but the only admissions I will make is that price doesnt include the 4gb of Corsair ram, or the Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition, as I bought both of these separatly, both from Scan, which would raise the price to around £880 if you cant do without both of these, I couldnt as I wanted this laptop to last and to really give me a speedy machine for many years to come!

How I did it for the £719 price, is that I chose the £649 model machine, and just customised the CPU upto a T9300 (additional cost worth it) which makes it go upto £789, and then at the end you get the latest 10% off discount code via Google (cant post the direct link here) which brings it down to £719 at the end, and then make sure you go via Quidco at the beginning, which will eventually make it fall under the £700 price bracket, and seeing what you get, that is an absolute steal, which is why I decided to go for it!

Dell Vostro 1510
Microsoft Windows XP Professional (dual booting into Ubuntu now as well)
15.4" Widescreen
Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 2gb CPU
2gb Memory (2x1gb 667mhz sticks)
160gb HD

It's the one that shipped with the dodgy keyboard, waiting for Dell to come replace it next week.

Really great bit of kit, nice and portable with enough grunt to run pretty much anything.

Wow, that looks much better than it does on the dell site!

Macbook pro, blackbook and the 'vostro look' all rolled into one nice machine. :)

May I ask how much it set you back?

On a side note - I think I need to do a new set of pics, my old ones are out of date :p;)
