With ADW EX (not sure about free version...) you can get rid of the dock completely and move widgets further down the screen etc... Great for me with my little 3.2" screen, makes it feel massive LOL

ADW EX also lets you have a 'hidden' scrollable dock bar with unlimited shortcut capacity... swipe up and it just slides up out of nowhere

My Blackberry 9700 Ubuntu theme only problem I have is the 3 menus at the top are in another language and have no idea how to change it ah well I think its pretty cool.

Now using Go Launcher EX + Go Launcher EX Notification.

Happier now that it supports gesture actions on the dock and also liking the additional transition animations compared to LauncherPro. Oh yeah, and app tray folders = Win!

Do any of the Launchers mentioned here actually handle scrolling a 3D app drawer properly yet?

I like that feature in the stock gingerbread launcher and so far I've tried Launcher Pro and AWD Ex and neither of them can either scroll it smoothly or not to weird 'jumps' when you try to scroll up from the top.

I dislike the 3D drawer as it's too basic tbh!

I tried ADW a while back and it has more features but there was something off about it, maybe it was the way icons etc are used or it's speed but Go seems very good IMO!

The weather is snowstorm weather widget, the clock is Fancy Widget Pro (there is a free version of it too), and the toggle buttons for wifi etc is switchpro (again, there is a free version).

ADW-EX does on mine... real smooth

and that's with a transparent background too

CM Rom lets you remove the clock. But in your case, where you have nothing telling the time, why would you want to??
