Just for my own information, could you explain how you did it? I have PSE and couldn't manage it.
 
I cut out a rectangle where the lines were, then created a layer the same size as the cutout and pasted them in the gaps applying a black layer fill to each one and setting the opacity to match the main background (in this case, an opacity of 71% was a match).

Then just save as a PNG :p

Saw the leather background before (I'm sure), so had to have it :D And wanted icons that were like the stock ones, but offered consistency in design. Squares with rounded corners...even better :D

Grudus, how do you get the Opera and Skype icons that big? I just downloaded a pack which are 150 x 150, but for some reason on my home screen they are tiny.

I want a really minimalistic look but having tiny icons is just taking it too far! :D
