Having just installed Cyanogen Mod, I am trying a very minimalist homepage!

I was getting a bit bored of my Bane wallpaper so decided for this

Found something appropriate for the current season.

Getting bored of the black background now, have had it for far too long!

Rather liking this at the minute, just using the sense wallpaper for the matte theme:



Again, looks much much better on my mobile screen, not sure why but photoshop seems to reduce the colour quality and sharpness.......

Have a whole black background wallpaper set similar to the above, but think that one looks the best.

Going to maybe get rid of one of the minimalistic text widgets and perhaps move switchpro onto the main screen.

What are the benefits of the Apex launcher over others?

For me, it doesn't have as many niggles as nova launcher i.e.

- landscape issue
- redraws (takes longer to load back as well)
- text/widgets look a bit blurry I find compared to apex, although not a huge issue as it is only noticeable if you look into it TOM_D style
- no infinite scroll in app drawer but it does have app folders instead

Main advantage(s) of nova is:

- app drawer folders
- smoother (although this will come down to the handset, some may find apex smoother than nova)

Better than go etc. for a number of reasons, more minimal style, ICS/JB feel/look and has some great features, which go etc. doesn't have.

Transparency on the status bar in Tablet mode & white theme! Got bored of the blue now!

Not sure on the wallpaper though yet, Comes with Paranoid Android.

Is it display settings within the HTC your using or something else?

Yes I would know how to do that too, I switched from IP4 to S3 today.

Stock ICS icons - you now they make sense

Yup I tried going for the complete stock JB look last night (after seeing the LG nexus mockup ) but it was just too minimal, so that is the best I can do for now Nice to have more colours than just black/blue/grey again.

try indenting the dock icons - see how you like it. They look a bit too spread out for me.

I did, but wasn't too keen on it Spend like 10 minutes deciding on which one to use Will give it another try and see.

It might just be the screenshot - mine look slightly spread out too in screenshots.

And my wallpaper look soo much nicer on my phone.

Likewise Photoshop seems to reduce the sharpness and wash out the colours by a bit for some reason
