Decided to start messing around with my home screen for the first time since I got my Nexus 4. Stole ideas from here, obviously 
I think the 'kik' text lets it down but with messenger on the end it looks a bit stupid, might need to get a different app to replace it.
Also, does anyone know if you can set it so when I click my battery percentage it will open my battery usage in settings?
Tomorrow I'll go looking for some nice icons.

Just shorten "messenger" to something like "Msgr"
Regarding the shortcut to battery usage, you need to select activity and then click the drop down arrow for the 'settings' and there should be something to do with power/battery usage, for me it comes under as this:

Right I'm slowly getting there now.
Need to configure some gestures, change a couple of the icon colours, a clock and maybe agenda calendar for the homescreen. Then sort out the app drawer and lock screen.
Then end up not liking it and changing it all over again!

Nope, right but when I broke my wrist and had my hand in a cast for weeks I had to use my left hand to text and what not, so now I just have my phone in my left pocket so it's always in that hand.

Changed some colours and added a not so full calender.
Gestures are
Might do away with the calender and just make a clock. Would really like to be able to do a gesture that would open a folder of games, but can't do that with Nova Prime it seems.

two finger down - camera
two finger up - play store
double tap - dolphin browser / jetpack
