This is basis of my Homescreen now:

Wallpaper Changer app set to change wallpaper daily. The only difference is a different movie still for each image. The subwoofer is a widget with transparent icon that changes the wallpaper to the next in rotation manually. The effect is like changing the channel!

There's some other 'invisible' widgets. The centre speaker turns off the screen, for example.
 
On the 4 it's not too bad!, I've been playing with the phone a bit today (bored at work!!), Off charge for 5 hours, with 34% screen time!, I'm not too fussed really!... as I charge the phone when I drive home at 4pm (gets about and hour n half!!) then I charge every night (habit from my Xperia Arc!)

On the 7 it's fantastic!! I'm listening to Harry Potter (Love Steven Fry's voice!! :) ) I had it on charge today as I re-installed everything earlier!... but It only usually gets down to 85% with 8 hours of listening and a bit of playing....

Plus that weather is 'Dashclock' with a few of the fancy extensions... Wicked Lock screen replacement too!! :)

Both Unlocked and Rooted! :)
 
For the sake of £2 or whatever it is :o, cerberus is far better than any other app out there! :p

Also lookout is probably using battery life even when the GPS tracking is enabled, cerberus doesn't use anything until you actually start to utilise the app.
