God that scared me the first time i hit home and everything fell off the screens lol

Ill have to pay for it i guess only a few quid so not bad, any tips/tricks for it? save me prodding it and making it angry at me :P

Not really any tricks.

Just go through the menus when you're bored at work, lots of goodies.

Also, take a look on XDA Desire Themes and Apps, some uselful threads there!

I am going insane trying to figure out how to get all these great desktops on my DHD

the XDA forum im sure it is great by there are so many posts?!

Do i need to root?!
Do i just set something as a back ground and then assign blank images over the icons already there?!

aghhhh! i consider myself fairly tech savy and this is killing my brain?! why can i not work this out! *sob*

No you don't need to root yet.
Choose a wallpaper you like, go for a blank one for the time being so that you can get used to icons and designs.

For the bar at the bottom adjust the shortcuts to something that fits you better, LP (launcherpro) has some icons built in so you can change those.

If you don't like those just search online and find icons you like, and use those as custom icons.


When it comes to app icons, you can keep them standard which is just long press the app on the app drawer and it'll go to your homescreen.

Or you can again find icons online, and use a program like Better Cut, Folder Organiser (the one I use) and change the icon in the program. Then create a shortcut from Folder Organiser.

Many thanks, ive spent most of the day (whoops) playing with it at work, seem to have it sussed now, TY for the help
 
OK spent most of the afternoon at work playing with my new Desire HD and want to post my screenshots. Its nothing special by any means but I want to share :p

Is there anyway I can do it without rooting my phone or having to do the SDK thing?

6 Home screens
Scrolling Wallpaper theme
Text down the left has invisible shortcuts using launcher pro to link to the other 5 home screens with the bottom always linking to screen one
As you scroll the bottom image changes to show you what you are on
Swipe gesture over the home button to open app drawer

MyPhoneExplorer can take screenshots.

I think it works unrooted.

FINALLY got the SDK working to do screenshots the 'easy' way. Apologies for the girlfriend's pout face..

Gone for a relatively simple set up. Many thanks to some for the inspiration (and icons :p)

Think i am just being an idiot, but how to I get Agenda Widget to have a fully transparent background? Setting must be in there somewhere!!?

Edit: Managed it, not sure which bit but its sorted :p
