** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

Really tempted by this, been wanting a new screen for over a year now and was waiting for a Freesync 34" screen which wasn't made and checked by blind armless monkeys.

Looking forward to the reviews from anyone who already has one, might order it this week if it all looks good.
 
Soz guys have had a busy day and have only just got my little one off to bed. Will open up my huge box when I get 5 mins to myself and get some pics up :)
 
I'm probably going to buy this screen in the next month or so but I'm wondering if a single 980ti would be enough to power AAA games like the witcher 3 maxed?

What sort of FPS would I expect with a EVGA GeForce GTX 980Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ ?
 
What's your definition of maxed? 8x MSAA or would you not mind 2-4x MSAA? My 980Ti performs just well on games like GTA:V at 3440x1440, however I did have to turn grass down if I was going to use 4x MSAA.

100 FPS @ 3440x1440 won't really be happening on a 980Ti for AAA games unfortunately.
 
I'd like some opinions on the BLB and blacks (or is IPS glow, only had TN or VA) maybe in films because I'm still a bit unsure about waiting for an MVA screen to get similar treatment.

I was waiting for the original ROG G-Sync monitor to come down a little but just wasted 6 months of gaming as it barely came down at all until the IPS panels started appearing.

It's the miser in me as I have the funds for one as it is.

They are. Linus' video of the X34 was put up earlier today on Vessel - https://www.vessel.com/videos/ZmYyy9YDq - However it's early access so you'll either have to start a free trial (no money is taken, but you do need to add a card) or wait a week for it to come on YouTube.

Height adjust is why I went for the Dell over the LG, too.
 
Well apparently now monitor has been despatched (not from OCUK) and will be here possibly tomorrow despite them not even being listed as in stock.

I hope that it's updated for the banding issue. Either way expect impressions fairly soon.

X34? I see the price has gone up too, which is usual practise for them when stock lands :D

Hopefully OcUK will receive asap too!!

Yeah looks that way! And the date has changed till November now.

Yeah, really hope OCUK get theirs soon too, want to see how the UK stock holds up in (outside of mine)
