Thanks for the impressions. What's a good calibrator? Think I might want to calibrate this thing.

Just got home and will be pluging in the monitor shortly, hopefully I wont have any issues with it, cause for this price unless its perfect it will be going back. Fingers crossed (seemed to work when we were waiting for the stock to arrive lol).

Anyways here is some pics that I took last night, will get some better ones up shortly.

I currently have a Hazro IPS 27" 1440p monitor so i'm hoping this new Acer 34" monitor blows my IPS monitor out the water. I have really bad glow but when normal viewing it's not noticeable. The biggest thing that bugs me is the glass on the Hazro keeps slipping down

even after 2 attempts to re-stick!

Only 9 left in stock. I think you lot are crazy spending the equivalent of a decent gaming PC on a monitor but good luck to you all. Prey it doesnt go wrong. I would want more than 2 yrs warranty for nearly a grand.

Do you have any other monitors you can put next to it for scale? Also show us a picture with desktop icons etc. I'm really tempted but I think it might be worth waiting one more year for the tech to mature a bit more.

Also the price... damn

And regarding whether it feels cheap - not to me. It probably could have done without the glossy back, but aside from that I'd say it's fairly premium feeling. Not perfect, but I'm satisfed with it. (this is regarding it's cosemetic design)

So it does say "Acer" on the front then for the G-Sync model not "Predator" in contradiction to what was previously said on the thread.

That's the freesync model isn't it?

I have the Gsync one and it says Predator.

This is the Freesync version. Note that on the box it says Adaptive-sync. Th G-Sync does say Predator on the front.
