Should be slightly quicker. Whether or not it would be that noticeable is a different matter. A quick look at Anandtech benchmark comparisons and the 285 GTX is only slightly behind the 6850. I think if I was upgrading from your card I'd be wanting a little bit more of a performance boost, particuarly as it seems you don't appear to change cards on a regular basis

Almost certainly 4 - but I've not checked closely, and perhaps 6 if you have displayport monitors and can daisy chain them - as usual you will have to use display port adaptors if you want eyefinity.
