Premier League Fixtures - 22/23/24th August (Spoilers)

Well, Chelsea were really poor today. I was really hoping for us to carry on from where we left off against Pompey.

So yeah, I am very dissapointed although obviously I am happy with the 3 points.

I thought Anelka was pretty useless today, he was isolated up front but when he did get the ball he did nothing with it.

So how exactly did he cheat compared to constant CHEATING dives by Gerrard and Torres? Do you hate them too?

What constant dives?

As for Tuncay, i saw plenty of him in the Turkish League and in the CL and he dived constantly, and then last season he punched the ball into the net vs us and then spent the next 5 minutes trying to deny it rather that accept he got caught being a ****.

Messi has done that twice now (punching the ball in) and also dives, yet he's heralded as the best player in the world and loved by millions :p.

Are you being serious? Torres is even worse than Gerrard. Anyone comes close and he's inspecting for worms.
Making a meal out of a challenge and diving are different things. I'd have thought you knew that going by the way you defend Ronaldo at times ;)

Messi's not done it vs Liverpool though ;)

Maybe im being harsh on him because i can't stand Boro but the guy's a **** imo.

Skrtels blatant body check on O'Neil was disgusting yesterday

As for Tuncay punching the ball, if you were paying attention you'd of noticed that he ran away giggling like a little girl after being booked which would suggested it was more of a joke and a bit of fun rather than him seriously trying to cheat. You should be happy he did that as well cause if he had stuck his head on it like he should have you wouldn't have won.

There's nothing wrong with a player positioning himself under the ball, he doesn't have to let O'Neil have a free header. Shearer (Berbatov's great at it oo) was famous for doing that.

Im not sure if you're a liar or have no idea what you're talking about. I've actually just watched it again and he runs off celebrating then gets book and starts waving his hands and wagging his finger at the ref saying he's got it wrong. At no point was he giggling.

Daily Mail continues its excellent journalism this weekend.

In spite of incentives like free booze for those who got in their bar-room orders up to 50 minutes before the kick-off

Who was told about this 'incentive'? Nobody? That's right, it was just a gesture by Ashley, off the cuff.

There were almost 5,000 empty seats at a club where there used to be a waiting list for season tickets

Bolton only bringing about 500 fans, lots of people on holiday, lots of people without money (credit crunch) of course had nothing to do with this.

he grabbed the winner with a glancing close-range header from Geremi's well-flighted free-kick.

What free kick?

Daily Mail said:
And nobody could argue that he did not wave his magic wand over this match to help produce three points that were as precious as they were undeserved.

Precious three points? Yeah, because we desperately needed those...
As for undeserved? I dunno how this is true, we made more possession, more chances, more everything.

Daily Mail said:
Gretar Steinsson's spotkick was stroked powerfully to Given's left but the goalkeeper was down in a flash to save it at full stretch

Didn't Nolan take it?

But the main item on the agenda will be discussion of a new contract for the Merseysider.

Didn't he grow up in Wales?

I also have no problem if a player positions himself under the ball to stop someone else playing then ball aslong as the positioning player is attempting to play the ball which Skrtel was not doing and was playing the man which is a foul and since was in the box should have been a penalty. It was no different to the body checks you see every week in the NHL except they aren't legal in football.

Also Baz just wondering out of curiosity are you a real liverpool fan or just one of the many glory hunting liverpool fans ?

Richard's subbed off early in the 2nd half and looks in a bad way tbh. Ben Haim ko'd him.

There's nothing in the rules which says Skrtel has to play the ball. He's stood under the ball and O'Neil bumped into him. The closest thing to a pen was Huth's save from Gerrard's shot. And im a glory hunter

BTW what was it? Liar or not knowing what you're talking about?

1-0 City.
about Tuncay ? i was telling the truth, the man never stops smiling and giggling happiest man on the planet, you must have been watching something else

Maybe you should watching it again. As you're either not telling the truth or haven't got a clue.
